Passable stay with basic breakfast but many issues
Pros:

The hotel was passable and served an acceptable breakfast. The choice was modest and less appealing than in their promotional photos, but there were some basics such as square bread, cheese, ham, herring, a few small sweets, and even a simple version of an English breakfast. A coffee machine was available all day in the public space, and the breakfast room had a microwave, which was convenient. It was easy 30 min walk to the center and plenty of parking nearby.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there were also many negative aspects. The property does not truly feel like a hotel. When we arrived, the sliding bathroom door got stuck and one of us became trapped inside. No staff was available inside hotel, no reception only a number to call. Only with two people together could we force it open. After contacting customer service, we were told this was a known issue. It was partially repaired the following day, but until then we had no privacy between the sleeping bed and the toilet and had to use the public facilities instead.

The staff, mostly Lithuanian, were unprofessional and often rude. Instead of focusing on guests, they ate alongside them and loudly discussed their personal lives using frequent curse words. As I understand the language, this created the atmosphere of a rehabilitation centre rather than a calm hotel breakfast. The checkout process was also unclear, sometimes involving staff shouting through the corridor to confirm which rooms people had left, and at other times showing no interest at all.

Cleaning standards could also be improved. While the sheets were changed, other areas of the room were not cleaned to the standard one would reasonably expect.

Pros:

Easy to check in and people at the reception were very nice. Indeed our room faced the street but the noise didn’t bother us at all (they provided earplugs in the room but we didn’t use them). Breakfast was good and tea/coffee is available 24/7. It was very comfortable for 1 night passing through.
