The room was large, and had a cool edgy style, and was stocked to the brim with snacks and booze for purchase

Cons:

The room was almost damp when we arrived, but it was subtle enough not to really consider it. But sleeping that night was thrown off by the distinct smell of mold. When we looked under the bed, we found mold spots and other ...unpleasant stains.

Halbwegs ruhig, aber nicht mehr Luxus und in die Jahre gekommen
Pros:

Die Zimmer an der Wasserseite (nicht die mit nur seitlichem Wasserblick) liegen ruhig, auch wenn auf dem nördlich angrenzenden Gebäude eine unwahrscheinlich lauter Lüfter tagsüber betrieben wird. Das Hotel bleibt von der Party-Strandmeile verschont, es besteht aber kein durchgängig unmittelbare am Wasser geführter Weg zum Hermosa Beach, so dass man ca. 300 m an der Straße entlang laufen muss, um den strandmäßig schönen Teil des Kiezes zu erreichen. Die Marina ist zwar Wasserseite, aber auch nicht besonders schön anzusehen. Interessant sind die auf der anderen Seite der Straße, gegenüber des Hotels liegenden Industrieanlagen. Nett ist das Restaurant.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind muffig von der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit und der Teppichboden ist nicht mehr frisch. Der Pool auf dem Dach ist der Sache nach ein großer Whirlpool, nur kalt, und nicht zum Schwimmen. Das Gym ist nicht brauchbar.

It was a nice view, but I would not stay here again for the price.

Had a very nice view.

Cons:

Corridor to rooms was uninviting. Valet was pointless for size of parking lot. Felt sticky. There is a lack for attention to detail for a “4” star hotel.

Pros:

I loved the size of the room and our view of the firework show.

Cons:

The $100.00 early check in fee seems unreasonable. If the room i already booked is ready, I don't feel I should have to pay extra just to get in early when the room would be cleaned in the same way anyway. Holding my room up for no reason and trying to make a profit off my convenience is bad customer service.

Our stay was so wonderful, truly a great experience and it really meant a lot considering we were staying on the 4th with our young daughter and dog so our comfort was very important.

Pros:

Excellent staff, so kind and helpful. I loved the tub in the balcony, the 2nd TV in the room and the relaxing rooftop pool and showers. You can also hear wild seals nearby that was a great bonus. Walking distance from sighting them. Area is safe and clean. 5 minutes by bike from the beach to swim.
