Pros:

Et meget smukt og charmerende gammelt hus/maner House med en spændende historie. Trængte til en kærlig hånd og en del renovering. Larmende vandrør ved mindste brug af vand eller toilet, men skøn bruser med masser af varmt vand og skønne håndklæder. Ok morgenmad, dejligt brød. Men Ingen mulighed for svømning el fitness ( rummene var lukket af) og internet virkede ikke.
Men det var billigt og en oplevelse værd, hvis man ikke er for sart.

Lots of potential, but lacking in most respects
Pros:

Good location and potentially a very nice hotel

Cons:

Breakfast was provided late, the gym equipment is old, dusty and rusty and the mirrors broken. The room may have been refurbished recently but was done cheaply and the TV didn't work. Bed was ok but the pillows uncomfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast service appalling. Officially a buffet from 8;00

On saturday there was nothing there when I arrived. When i asked what was happening I was told very aggressively that it was available from 8:00. It was already 8:05, no food, no drinks, large urn not turned on yet

I hardly had anything as I had to leave by 8:30 for an event. It only started getting laid it out at 8:05 both days, still no jam or marmalade for toast when i left l at 8:25 on saturday

Sunday similair too, still items being bought out at 8:20 when i gave up again

Alles is gedateerd kapot en vies. Zwembad gaat niet meer open. Fitness is kapot en vies

No curtains on bay window, bathroom looked and felt dirty plus door did not close properly, For size of room small bed, cracked socket, no wardrobe. Breakfast was just ok tables where not clean.

We were happy with our stay.
Pros:

Full of character. Quiet, despite being near a busy road. It was a very hot evening but we sat in the grounds until our room cooled down. We were provided with a fan.

Comfy beds, nice shower, ample breakfast. Fantastic old building with a Crystal Maze type set of labyrinths to get to and from our room to the entrance or breakfast room!

Inexpensive night away
Pros:

The room will be lovely when it’s finished ie. The shower needed a good clean lots of cobwebs,
Bed needed to be bigger plus curtains to stop the morning light in the bay window.

Cons:

Peaceful setting ,large room was great,secure free parking

Tutto, l'hotel e' decadente. Pulizia della camera passabile ma soffocante, il doccia in camera era con acqua fredda. Dopo le 20 non è più presente nessuno dello staff.

Pros:

This was a great cultural experience. The hotel is full of history. My room was comfortable and the poets restaurant for breakfast was quite grand. There is an air of peace and quiet. The hotel is close to the countryside and good roads too. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to assist.

Cons:

Like most old places, it needs attentive maintenance. I was disappointed the courtyard lounge was out of bounds and the swimming Poole was closed.

Room 5 was freshly decorated but had no curtains on one of the windows No hanger or hooks only one chair in the room no table broken electric plug socket and a old dirty winter duvet small bed for the size of room bathroom door needed adjustment to close easier
