Great Value Just on the Edge of Downtown Vancouver
Pros:

Windows that open. Good layout. Clean. Comfortable beds. Moderate walking distance to major attractions. Short distance to bus to Stanley Park.

Cons:

Window opened out onto Broughton St. and the Community Garden which I am sure is amazing in the Summer and Autumn. My stay was in May during planting season so the smell of manure would occasionally waft in.

Good stay
Pros:

Great location and value - you can easily reach all Vancouver attractions from there by bus and train. Or you can walk, it is not that far from downtown, harbor and Stanley Park. Good restaurant next door for breakfast and lunch, close to other restaurants and shops on Barclay Street.

Cons:

Construction site - but they warn about it.
No elevator.

Don't stay here!
Pros:

There is nothing to like about this hotel. You should delete it from your list of Vancouver hotels.

Cons:

The building is old & not well maintained. The plaster on the room walls was badly chipped, bathroom vanity was rotting at floor level, air conditioning did not work, curtains were two different lengths & did not adequately cover the windows, there was no complimentary coffee or even a jug, there is no elevator & the stairs were steep.
