Pleasant staff, good service and good location for our onward journey.
Pros:

Because of staff shortages a full kitchen was not available, i had been told this before travelling. We were offered a meat and cheese board which was delicious.

Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities met my expectations. Everything from check-in to the quality of the amenities reflected a high standard.

However, I was quite disappointed to be charged £20 for checking out just 19 minutes late. While I understand the need for policies, this felt a bit excessive given the short delay. A little flexibility or a grace period would have made the experience perfect.

Aside from this issue, I had a great stay and appreciate the service provided.

We liked the very spacious, clean and comfortable room. The bed was good. The bathroom maybe a bit outdated but it was very clean and all you needed was there.
Staf was very friendly and they even provided food for us even though the kitchen was closed.

Winchelsea lodge
Pros:

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean, tidy, and welcoming. Breakfast was okay, and the 11am check out was brilliant.

Cons:

I did point out to staff that the radiator in the bathroom wasn't working as the regulator was attached to the radiator. The bathroom door handle was attached to the door safely as the screws pulled out of the door.

Didn’t stop as room unsafe and hotel not as advertised.
Pros:

Room was clean.

Cons:

The door to the room didn’t shut securely on the lock and opened with or without the key. Thus the Locking mechanism didn’t secure in the housing unit and as a result felt extremely unsafe so we didn’t stay and had to find another hotel. The bathroom was unfinished with water piping and waste pipe exposed. Given all of this whilst it was clean it was no where near a 4star hotel. A 2 star motel at best. Reported to staff who didn’t appear to know what to do. Do not stay here.

Terrible, I would advise to stay clear!
Pros:

Lovely location, room was small, smelt and shower room dirty - The manager of the establishment was rude and was quick to judge. His man-management and customer skills were discussing. I would not recommend staying here.

Cons:

No food available in the evening, only one type of beer available which made me physically sick. The hospitality was shocking and we felt uncomfortable!
