It is a wonderful place to observe bird migration. Our reserve has a large group of more than 2709 species of birds that have been recorded around the area.
We also have great cycling routes such as Winchelsea & Rye Harbor Nature Reserve loop and Pett Level Road loop from Winchelsea. On the way you will see historic landmarks and great countryside views. If you don’t have a bike and wanted to try something different. We have our own electric e-bikes which we can hire out to you for a day etc. We also have free onside bike storage to lock your bicycles up at night securely and CCTV on site with facilities to charge your own E-bike.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

I wasn’t going to leave a review because I didn’t end up staying here to give a fair view of the property. The only reason I am is because of the way management responded when I explained why I’d left. I can now see from other reviews that any criticism is met with a similar response from management so this is clearly where the problem is. I wouldn’t bother complaining about anything as you’ll essentially be called a liar and told you have a problem. For me, I couldn’t stay due noise from a neighbouring room which apparently we imagined. I was told the ‘problem was with ourselves’. It was our choice to leave and as I said, I wouldn’t have left a review as I didn’t stick around long enough to comment on anything else. My review is now solely based on the extremely rude and unprofessional response to an expression of disappointment so I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re prepared to accept everything and anything.

Overall very nice and clean, close to Winchelsea and Rye which are lovely.
Pros:

Great selection of items for breakfast and drinks.

Cons:

No blackout curtains in room and Venetian blind didn’t block out the on-site lights. Outdoor seating was right near the room where some guests sat and talked late in evening. We had to ask them to be quiet after 11pm as trying to sleep.

Little gem of a place within easy reach of Rye, Hastings and Camber Sands
