L’organisation de la logistique pour s’y rendre. Manque de prise en charge de la part du resort. Des navettes de l’hôtel devraient être mis en place au vue du standing du resort.

It was not much I could think of that we did not like everything was great.

Leider ist das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis extrem strapaziert. Es sind einfache kleine Hütten, das Restaurant war das schlechteste während unseres ganzen Thailand Urlaubes und dafür sehr teuer. Auch die angebotenen Aktivitäten waren völlig überteuert.
Das Hotel könnte einfache Dinge leicht verbessern. Zum Beispiel nicht morgens um 7:00 mit einem lauten Wagen mehrfach an den Zimmern vorbei rumpeln, besserer Service im Restaurant und eine bessere Küche. Dann könnte der Preis gerechtfertigt sein.

Der er fin aircondition på værelserne men mangler køleskab så vandet kan holde sig koldt. Der bliver nemlig virkelig varmt i hytterne. Der er meget lydt, alt knirker og kan høre naboer og når nogen går rundt i hytten så knirker gulve. Det er for dyrt i forhold til hvad man får. Ja der er smukt men hytterne er brune og kedelige og lidt spejder hytter.
Al mad koster jo og dyre drinks osv.
vi havde to nætter (to voksne og tre teenagere) og det er rigeligt. Vi badede og roede i kajakker. Tog ikke på ture.

The place was really worn down. It is really falling apart. We stayed at the Honeymoon suite and even though it was a cool experience, you could definitely tell that it was nearing its end and things need replacement and really good renovation. The pool’s platform is cracked, the pool tub itself is torn so the lake water just comes in.

The doors don’t close properly, due to gaps.

Shower floors were black and in need of replacement.

For €350 per night the honeymoon suite would be worth it, but definitely extremely overpriced at €1250+ per night. Not worth it at all for that price.

I guess the other villas are even worse compared to the honeymoon suite we stayed at.

500 Rai is nice but it's not a $1000/nite value!! Way too costly.
I would book a different resort, more in the center of the karst area.

We were going to catch a private boat back at ~2:00. Our Booking confirmation said an 11 am check out. So we packed up and departed our room. Then at the desk, they said we had until 1 pm to check out.
Had we realized that, we would have planned something for the morning. As it was, we decided to leave on the group long tail at about 11. So we lost about half a day there. The people at the desk weren't apologetic re the lack of notice re check out time; but they were super-concerned that we didnt ask for a refund on our private boat-to the point of having us sign a release! MONEY seems to be their main concern, not guest satisfaction.

The free "Lake tour" doesnt go in the area where the karsts are the most magnificent. 500 Rai sits at the edge of a flat part of the lake. Not as scenic as other of the floating resorts we observed.

Also, the private long-tail on the way to 501 RAI wasn't covered in the passenger area and rain was eminent. It was small and we got sprayed with water as the man plowed thru the waves on the lake. The driver didnt do anything scenic en route. Those who took the group long tail had a large, covered boat, no spray and the driver took them thru some scenic areas en route. Those differences should be noted where people make the choice, as we would have done the group boat had we known how little we were getting for the extra money we paid.
