Can’t beat the convenience for Duke U

It was convenient with what we had planned to do. The staff was great.
Once you leave the lobby the hotel looks more like an average run down place. Refrigerator didn’t work. Only 3 towels for 4 adults. The room was just outdated. We paid $405 for one night and probably worth $100.
Everything. The location, the facilities, the room, the restaurants, the grounds, the staff!
I like everything about it
Everything else was perfect especially the friendly staff and shuttle drivers except the location of the room.
Our room window was facing the drop off area of the hotel so every time when cars arrive to the lobby, the headlights of each car directly ran though our room and me in the bed. I realized soon checked from outside myself that any one at the drop off area can see our room and anyone laying in our bed which means zero privacy. That was very unpleasant especially at night for sleep so we had to keep our curtain shut all times, no window views. Please don’t sell the unit.
Staff was welcoming, friendly, and the food was delicious! We were there for a baseball event on the Duke campus, and the staff made my son feel like a rockstar. Thank you!
Spacious, clean and well-kept hotel on Duke’s campus. I’ve traveled a lot this summer, stayed at Hiltons, Tapestry hotels, Marriott chains. The Jv exceeded them all. There are some quirks (I wandered 10 min trying to find the fitness center) and the cleaning supplies do leave a cologne smell in the room, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The lobby dining and breakfast offered were wonderful.

We loved the facilities and staff. We don’t get to the gym but the modernity. Style and size of the hotel and rooms exceeded our expectations.
If you got to go to Duke EDU Hospital stay here their shuttle service is great!
