We had a twin room. It was spotlessly clean. Lovely crisp white bedding. The location was lovely. We loved the serene atmosphere of Kew Gardens Village. Train station right on the doorstep for visiting attractions.
I would have loved a Bath robe to be supplied.
It is a very prime location. We visited Kew Theatre under the star and Natural history museum by staying one night in this hotel. 2 mins to Victorian Gate and 2 mins to the train station. We can have family time in the pub run by the hotel.
Nil
The location was perfect for visiting Kew Gardens. Close to the station, a short walk to the Gardens. Friendly staff, room nice. There was a classic bar downstairs that was sadly never very full when we looked in. The locale around had some good shops and cafes.
We visited on a very hot day (August 2026) and there was no aircon and the room was up several flights of stairs at the top of the building, no problem to us but would put some people off. With the window open and a fan we slept well.
We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. For us the position and facilities were fine and the logistics of our trip worked.
Die Lage
Obwohl es über 30° hatte, gab es keine Klimaanlage. Wir wurden vertröstet, aber niemand hat sich um unsere Bitten gekümmert. Auch im Nachhinein hat man sich unseres Themas angenommen.
Nice room and great location. Good size bed. Great to have a portable air con.
Allowed a slightly early check in 30mins and a slightly late checkout 30mins. Parking was not a problem as we arrived after noon on a Friday.
Incorrect time give for breakfast we were waiting (with 3 others)at 7:30 as we but eventually found out it was 8am. Was hoping to grab something on our rerun from parkrun at 10:20am but had to plead for a cup of coffee although it was already made.
Noisy due to next door guests returning at 1:30am.
Loved the atmosphere and the proximity to Kew Gardens
The location was great as was only a 10 minute walk from Kew Gardens and evening street parking is free but between 10am and 12 pm it is permit only so you will still need to drive and park at Kew. I did know this beforehand as I spoke to the hotel prior to arriving.
Our double room was on the third floor and the stairs could be an effort for an older person. No aircon it's an old building but there were plenty of large fans in the room which kept us cool. The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze so no good for a larger person but the shower was ok and hot enough. A few things around the room could of done with some attention including the pointless Chandelier hanging low above the bed, looked like it was coming away from the ceiling.
Breakfast wasn't included but I think for £120 a night it should of been, at least for one guest.
Dont get me wrong our stay was good and we enjoyed our couple of days away. And if Kew Gardens is your destination then you could do a lot worse that this hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels for my work and thought £120 was a bit much without a breakfast included.
The staff were very helpful though when we had to get an email printed off.
Location convenient
Our room was in the attic. Tiny and stuffy with dated carpet and minuscule shower. Reception on leaving couldn't be bothered to ask how we slept ect. Avoid
The location was perfect for our visit to Kew Gardens and easily accessible from the train station.
The staff were so helpful and as our room was ready, able to check in early.
Great location and pub was nice
Extremely hot and very steep stairs
Faulty iron that burnt a hole in my dress - no apology or concern from the staff
Smoked so much it almost set off fire alarm
The room was very cosy and comfortable with really nice extra touches like bottles of water, coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. We also had a book case in our room which was nice touch.
Nothing.
The location was ideal for what we wanted and the bonus - it was on a bus route and the bus stopped outside the hotel.
It seemed a little shabby and is definitely in need of updating. No light over the mirror in the bathroom so shaving was hit and miss. The shower itself was great and loads of hot water but I was unable to regulate the temperature of the water. I ended up getting out covered in soap because it was too hot to get back under! Easy to remedy such a basic thing by leaving notes in the room.
Very convenient for Kew Gardens and the tube.
Location was excellent, close to Kew Gardens entrance and Kew tube although we didn't use it. Several close by restaurants, shops, and a cute neighborhood. Beds were comfortable, remodeled bathroom had excellent water pressure. Staff was friendly.
Common areas, reception, up stairs to rooms are lacking maintenance. Chips in woodwork everywhere, (baseboards, window sills, bannisters) and carpets ripped. Water rot outside newly remodeled shower enclosure. Reception couldn't explain how to get to hotel on the tube. This should be a common question to answer and easily listed on their website. No air conditioning, but fan was provided in room and window was open. No screen on window. We paid a premium for this unit.
Great location - nice pub. Lovely chandeliers. Easy going staff.
Small cramped room -minuscule bathroom difficult to turn around in.
So close to Kew Gardens
Nothing needs abit more cleaning tv was dusty
