1. hotel insisted on taking £150 deposit from my credit card, even though I had paid in full when I booked and I told them I did not want to sign any extras to the room but would pay as needed. This amount then takes up to 2 weeks to be refunded to the credit card. It is an unnecessary inconvenience for guests, with no clear justification from the hotel as to why they do it.
2. the room was comfortable except for one very poor design feature - the wardrobe/cupboard, with outward opening doors is situated in the narrow passage which leads to the exit door and has access to the bathroom. Each time one of us used the cupboard (frequently for clothes, tea, fridge etc.) the exit passage and access to the bathroom was completely blocked. Unnecessary inconvenience for guests. Clearly moving the cupboard is not practical unless the rooms are reconfigured but one solution is to put sliding doors instead of outward opening doors.
The room was immaculate and recently refurbished. Lovely staff, and the rooftop bar is stunning. Great pool and gym too.

Breakfast was very good.
Having previously confirmed we wanted a double and a twin room a week prior to arriving as booked, we arrived 11AM and given a room that was made up as a double with a bathroom for disabled people. We went out to a wedding having confirmed the arrangements at the reception desk. Returning about 10PM the other room, the twin room was in fact made as a double bed. So, at this late hour, my wife and I had to move our luggage to this double room which left us with no twin room. This meant our two adult children had no room and by which time 11PM we were all very tired. Initially we were told there was no twin room but one was eventually found. The reception desk had also informed us that the roof top bar was open until 12AM so we came back from the wedding specifically to have a drink but in fact the bar was closed. Then the next afternoon I went to have a drink at the roof top bar and despite their being empty seats was told there was no availability outside. There was a private function that accounted for half the empty seats but not the remaining ones. Additionally, I came to use the gym to be told it was closed and the hotel had one which i could go to 10 minutes away! The manager did their best to apologise and most staff were friendly but it was an awful experience.

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my friend to celebrate my birthday, and we absolutely loved every moment of our stay.
From the reception team to the rooftop and restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly polite, friendly, kind, and helpful. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
I booked this hotel to enjoy my birthday with drinks on the rooftop and brunch in the restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The biggest surprise was opening the door to my room and seeing the beautiful birthday decoration. I wasn’t expecting it at all, and it truly made my day. A very special thank you to Iman for arranging the wonderful birthday decoration in my room, it made my celebration even more memorable.
A special thank you also to Giulio, who managed to find us a table on the rooftop with a beautiful view for taking birthday photos, even though all the tables were fully booked. We really appreciated the extra effort he made for us.
The breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner on the rooftop, where there was a DJ creating a fantastic atmosphere. We had such an amazing time.
The location is another huge advantage. It’s only about a 10-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, the bus stop is right outside the hotel, and many famous attractions are within around a 20-minute walk.
I honestly can’t say a single negative thing about this hotel. Everything was perfect, and I’m so grateful to all the staff for making my birthday so special. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in London.
