Heidelberg was a wonderful place to visit.
Pros:

The location was great for our plans in Heidelberg.

Cons:

Parking to unload the car and then going to a paid garage a half a mile away was a little bit of a hassle. Also, it seemed that the reception desk should stay open later in the evening.

Lage ist sehr gut.

Cons:

Durch das Buchungssystem wurden aus Versehen zwei Zimmer gebucht, was wir nicht bemerkten, da die Buchung kurzfristig erfolgte. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer inkl. Taxen zu bezahlen. Die Rezeptionistin war in keiner Weise entgegenkommend. Keinen Rabatt, nicht einmal ein kostenloses Frühstück dazu. Sie war sehr unfreundlich und abweisend.

Nice big room, nice view, friendly staff, but not value for a lot of money.
Pros:

Location is very good. Nice view on the river.

Cons:

Door at reception is heavy and I thought it was locked...
Refregirator advertised, but only one of those air cooling stuff. No aircon, only a floor standing fan. Definitely not geared for hot summers.

Wenn Sie in Heidelberg sind, brauchen Sie nicht weiterzusuchen.
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal. Ein wunderschönes kleines Hotel direkt am Fluss und in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Innenstadt und den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ein sehr gutes Frühstück in ganz besonderen Räumlichkeiten; sowohl die Einrichtung als auch das Frühstück selbst zeugen von viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Frühstück ist gut und reichhaltig. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und komfortabel – ausgestattet mit einem Himmelbett, gutem Fernseher, Kühlschrank sowie einer hervorragenden Dusche in einem schönen, sauberen Badezimmer. Wer Heidelberg besucht, dem kann ich dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Charming Suite, Warm Welcome and Perfect Location
Pros:

I received a warm welcome at Hotel Villa Marstall. As I was arriving a little later than expected, the receptionist kindly stayed beyond her usual hours so that I could check in personally rather than having to use the entry code. This thoughtful gesture immediately made me feel welcome. I stayed in a beautiful junior suite under the roof, which was full of character and charm. The suite was comfortable, quiet, and a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The location is excellent. The hotel sits directly on the banks of the Neckar River and is only a short walk from Heidelberg’s historic Old Town, the famous Old Bridge, restaurants, cafés, and many of the city’s main attractions. It is an ideal base for exploring Heidelberg on foot.

Cons:

The only disappointing aspect of my stay was the breakfast. The coffee machine was out of order, and only rather weak filter coffee was available from a thermos pot. In addition, several items, including the egg dishes, were not replenished promptly, resulting in quite a long wait. Overall, I felt that the breakfast did not justify the additional charge of €18.

Tous la propreté l’aimabilité , situation géographique !! J’ai eu just un petit stress lors de paiment que j’ai appelé a plusieurs reprise mais je tombais sur le repondeur !! Heureusement le patron m’a appele car je lui ai laisse un mail donc petit stress résolut..une petite bouteille d’eau pour les arriver il faisait chaud

Pros:

Ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt mit einer sehr positiven Atmosphäre! Die Lage ist hervorragend und bietet eine tolle Aussicht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das sehr nette, aufmerksame und freundliche Personal – man merkt, dass es sich um einen liebevoll geführten Familienbetrieb handelt.

Die historische Altbau-Atmosphäre und die geschmackvolle Gestaltung verleihen der Unterkunft einen ganz besonderen Charme. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und wohl.

Cons:

Leider konnten wir den historischen Frühstücksraum aufgrund eines Schadens nicht besichtigen, was sehr schade war. Trotzdem war unser Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr angenehm und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – perfekte Lage, außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal und ein Hotel, das wir jederzeit
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt – direkt im Stadtzentrum von Heidelberg und in unmittelbarer Nähe zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Veranstaltungen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Dame an der Rezeption. Sie war außergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und stets hilfsbereit. Man wurde immer mit einem Lächeln empfangen und fühlte sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen.

Das gesamte Hotel war sehr sauber, gepflegt und ordentlich. Auch das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Obwohl wir etwas später zum Frühstück gekommen sind, war alles noch vollständig vorhanden und wurde laufend aufgefüllt. Das gesamte Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Aufenthalt war rundum angenehm und es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt.

Cons:

Der einzige kleine Nachteil sind die Parkmöglichkeiten in der Altstadt. Direkt am Hotel stehen nur begrenzte Parkmöglichkeiten allerdings nicht für Hotel Besucher, sodass man auf umliegende Parkhäuser angewiesen ist. Diese waren teilweise sehr voll und die Stellplätze sowie Zufahrten recht eng. Da wir mit einem größeren Fahrzeug (Pick-up) unterwegs waren, war das Ein- und Ausfahren etwas herausfordernd. Allerdings ist dies eher der Lage in der historischen Altstadt geschuldet als dem Hotel selbst. Positiv war, dass wir unser Gepäck problemlos am Hotel ausladen konnten.
