Judith and Allyson at the front desk are absolute stars! I love staying here whenever I’m in the area
The hotel has breakfast and delicious coffee. At night you. Can have a drink at the bar on the food top. The room had a semi view of the sky line.it was. The hotel was very close to the path subway.
Na
Very good location. Rooms are noisy because of street trains, especially lower floors facing train station. I asked in advance for a higher floor; but they were unable to comply with that requirement. You could expect more for breakfast, according to the night rate payed. Very basic.
Reception personnel very friendly and goodwilling.
Location
Tired. The roof terrace is the only area that is quality and that is to attract external customers.
Location great

コインランドリーがある
洗面所のアメニティがない
コインランドリーを利用したくても両替機がないからフロントにお願いしなきゃいけないけど、洗濯と乾燥で6ドルだからそれを25セントに両替するとかなりの量になる
This was a great hotel with the most amazing views from the rooftop. It was conviently located by the path and was only a few minutes from Manhattan. It worked perfectly visiting friends in Jersey and to still be able to be close to the city.
I’mI’m a New Yorker but was staying at the Hyatt House Jersey City for a business meeting on the July 3rd leading into July 4th weekend. Because the fireworks would be directly in front of the hotel on the Hudson, I bought family along so we could enjoy the festivities. I had very low expectations of the Hyatt House brand due to bad experiences at a Hyatt in Savannah Georgia. Upon check in representative Alison was so friendly, welcoming and just all-around professional—she totally changed my negative expectations about staying at the Hyatt House category by insuring my room and location were comfortable, getting my stay going in a positive way. Allison was just so pleasant and so professional, it really was a joy checking in on probably the busiest day of the summer.
Unfortunately we had an issue with the room being less than stellar—the sofa pillows were on the floor and the room clearly wasn’t vacuumed. We called Allison at the front desk right and she moved us right away to a room that was spacious, and the bed very comfortable which really was a pleasant surprise. The linen and towel quality is very important to me and it’s rare that I don’t have complaints. That was definitely a win for the Hyatt House.
As for the environment—it’s a very lovely and happening waterfront location with trendy restaurants and lots to do. The building and reception area are conversation pieces that I won’t ruin for you in the review.
Hearing the light rail coming and going is a bit disturbing which is the only negative about the immediate location. On the flip side, the light rail and path train being steps away is very convenient especially if you have plans to visit New York City.
The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was crowded and hectic because of the big July 4 festivities with the rooftop restaurant which I believe is why the breakfast experience and food quality were an afterthought. All considered, I will definitely stay again and I already have a couple of reservations booked! If you must call to make a reservation ask for Alison, she’s truly wonderful!
Location, design, large room, breakfast area with great views, reception
Little choice on breakfast, imperfect room cleaning
Perfect location! Starbucks, food truck, playground, and deck footsteps from the hotel entrance. We had a suite as a family of 4 and plenty of space.
The entrance doors were not working automatically so we had to manually push them open. The elevators were a little slow and confusing.
Again, I wound up staying here based on reviews and award availability. This was a last minute trip based on some uncharacteristically idealistic thoughts.
Anyways, the hotel is in Exchange Square, just a few minutes from the PATH Station of the same name. This makes travel into Manhattan relatively convenient, though still at the mercy of the PATH trains, which I never really understood the weekend and late night schedule. Might need to ask someone to make sure you know which train to get on.
The receptionist (Elaine, was it?) was a great help, especially since after my late arrival (past 1 AM?) pointing me in the right direction to the nearest CVS to get distilled water and such.
The building itself seems to be possibly repurposed into a hotel, based on the entrance, the reception area, and the layout as I had to walk in a U shape to get to my room. It did seem like I got one of the larger rooms based on location. Again, as expected, everything was much like I expected from a Hyatt House stay. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, and the view wasn't too bad. It was relatively easy to get a proper hot shower, and there was enough space near the bed for my things (including my CPAP).
The hotel does have some type of bar at the top floor. Never had the desire to go up to it, so I can't really comment on it.
My reviews nowadays are short, mostly because at this point it's copy pasta from prior reviews about what things I'm looking for, and people can look back into my reviews if they want to know specifically what I prefer. I already am very picky as to what hotels I pick, so it's relatively no surprise that with very few exceptions, I have little problems with the room or the hotel - and would consider staying here again if in the area.
The way this was better an I expected I couldn’t express more happiness. Starting from the location which is as perfect because of the light rail and path trains right outside door with the noise level little to none. The service was great a big thank you to Allison and Trudy. They were so helpful and welcoming. Allison was a delight. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the hotel was A+. You get more value with due to the amenities like the breakfast which was amazing. Again the atmosphere of the roof top lounge and views were great. The room was spacious and beautiful. I will be back, soon.
Good hotel with a lovely view of New York at breakfast. Lovely staff. Very helpful. Nice location on the Hudson. Nice room.
