The Stone House Hotel

Everything starting from the room I booked wasn’t ready and was given out to someone else. Pieces of lump of wet tissue stuck to the ceiling about 3 places and on the toilet door

The room was very dusty and dirty. Everywhere we walked, the floor was dusty, and the room smelled damp and musty. The room was also extremely small for a couple with a 2-year-old child and a 9-month-old baby.
They provided one double bed and one single bed, even though we had specifically requested a cot for the baby, but no cot was provided.
I am extremely disappointed with our stay. I would never return to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.

Had 2 rooms offered, 1st room was mould ridden and filthy, 2nd room offerd after complaing about the 1st room, was filthy but we cleaned it ourselves just so we could stay there, had to go out to buy cleaning stuff

No staff spoke to us, apart from getting the key at reception, even then after 10 minutes of waiting I started shouting 'hello' for someone

It’s dirty and room smells cigarette smoke all over.

It smelled, our room stank of poop. It was dirty, dusty & the tv didn’t work we had to move rooms 3 times, our 1 year olds travel cot wouldn’t fit in so we had to push the bed up to the bathroom, we had to buy our own cleaning stuff to make it smell nice & clean as it was really dirty & smelly. An evrytime someone sued there toilet or shower it was making our room smell of poo. It wasn’t nice at all. Also stated we would have a bath in our room, when we asked why we wasn’t in a room with a bath he said that they didn’t have any baths at all in that hotel, so it was faulsly advertised. I only booked that place as my 1 year old doesn’t like showers.

Everything i booked a family room to which I got a small room unfit for a family....filthy and broken mirror and socks and underpants under the bed from previous people

The property was not upto standers the hallway floorboard was broken dangerous the ceiling was falling aprt in one of the halls there was a bad smell threw the hotel stuff under the beds from the last people and the shower was broken worst hotel i have ever been to

The stairs all 38 of them no lift fair due to the lad he did offer another room but Margaret my wife said no, rooms not clean enough

The hotel is very dirty. Mold on ceiling, shower filthy, toilet was dirty, the window didn't close. I stayed in room 8 with my kids. The light didn't work. The owner was informed and his response was we know that it doesn't work. No attempt to fix it. We stayed in the dark. We should of been informed that they wasn't working when we checked in. Not at about 9pm when we tried to turn the light on. The beds were not the greatest. The bedding was mismatched and looked like they got them from a second hand market. We slept on the duvet with our clothes on and checked out the day. There was no way we was staying for the 2 nights that I had booked. The pictures on the booking are NOTHING like what they advertise. There were no toiletries and no WiFi either. AVOID!!!
