As from 31st August 2018, The Humber Royal Hotel will no longer accept cash payments on arrival for any bookings. All guests will be required to complete a pre-authorization using their credit or debit card on arrival. If a guest cannot provide the hotel with a pre-authorization then the hotel reserves the right to refuse the guest and cancel the reservation. All pre-authorizations will be canceled for each guest on their departure from the hotel. Being put in a room above the wedding party is not greatly thought out....maybe don't use that level for people who aren't with the party or place others at the other end of the hotel. It was incredibly loud and went on til midnight.
Breakfast was quite nice, provided soya milk for my little girl on asking. The watermelon looked like it had been cut with a blunt hatchet and even though we arrived for breakfast at 9, there was only 1 strawberry in the bowl of fruit and this wasn't replenished.

We liked the disability access room and particularly the wet room, we thought it could have been improved by installation of air conditioning.
The Staff from Reception, through to Restaurant Staff and Housekeeping were all very good and helpful
Breakfast was very good, however we were surprised that with 2 pieces of bacon and 2 sausages, on our breakfasts, that we were only given one egg, unlike the photo of 2 eggs on the breakfast menu card., and then were surprised at being charged extra for the requested additional egg, when we had paid over £300 for the weekends stay @ the Humber Royal Hotel.
We came back Saturday evening and were hoping for a drink in the hotel bar, but we were told the bar was closed due to a wedding function, the bars shelves had been cleared and there was no possibility of buying any drinks.
Hotel was dirty dead plants on the stairwells. Badly looked after. No food Sunday night .it certainly didn't warrant paying £100 per night and without breakfast. Also continental poor . Unappetising looked as though it had been lying about. Very poor all round
I didn't enjoy the stay at all . Everything grubby. Staff very nice. Needs a good manager to pull it up . It needs a complete refurbishment which I understand is going to happen but just make the best of a very bad job .

Outside of building horrendous- I almost did not go in! Needs some TLC. Stains on bedroom carpet and hall carpet. Mould round edge of bath, hair in plug hole. Disgusting so I did not shower or bath or turn the bathroom light on
The staff were really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The room was clean. The hot breakfast was nice too.
The cold breakfast options were poor and very limited. The common areas in and around the hotel lobby were grubby in places. Parts of the décor and building façade were damaged which is not a good look for a 4-star hotel. Some of the interior is dated.
