Good stay.
Pros:

hotel was located in a very good location. We could walk to a lot of restaurants and attractions. Food stores close by withing walking range. Did not use parking because we did not rent a car.

Cons:

There was nothing we did not like. Staff was most helpful. We felt secure in and around the hotel.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, horribly noisy
Pros:

The staff (front desk, housekeeping, coffee shop, security) were great, professional, helpful and friendly. Location is awesome, minutes away walking to restaurants and the pier. The low rating is because their walls are paper thin. Next door rooms were loud but tolerable, but the room above us (we were 2nd floor) was unbearable for noise. Hour long stomping, furniture moving, etc around the time I was trying to sleep each night. It would stop for a bit and then start again. We had a high ceiling in our room so I’m curious whether the infrastructure is different, and inadequate. Informed the manager and they were responsive, but the people above us (2 different groups over our 4 nights there) would start up after. Not sure if it was a guest issue of the lack of sound dampening needed. I’m a light sleeper but come prepared with ear plugs and a sound machine. Nothing overcame their noise.

Great stay for the family.
Pros:

Great spot to unwind from the day. The kids love the pool and hot tub. Ariel at valet is the best. Quick to serve and super friendly.

Comfortable and clean hotel
Pros:

The person at the front desk had a bit of difficulty immediately finding our reservation and was actually in the process of calling a different Marriott when I showed him our reservation and then he found it in the hotel’s system. Not a big deal, but first time that happened. The room itself was a good size with a large bathroom with plenty of counter space for toiletries. The room was clean and comfortable. The downside was the $65 a night valet parking and the fact that the neighborhood looks slightly worrisome at night. Note that both mornings when we needed our car, it was ready as soon as we got down – no wait time. On the last day, we did see a nearby parking area for $5, but I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable using it. All in all, considering we needed to stay within a short distance of where we were visiting – this was a pretty good hotel and I would stay here again – although hopefully without the need of a rental car next time.

Desk staff great , hotel is just okay
Pros:

Easy walk to the beach, good location. The highlight for us was the service provided by the desk staff. Valerie, Aaron and Jordan were friendly , attentive and professional and promptly accommodated all of our requests. The hotel is IMO due for a remodel and the bed was not comfortable and sheets were like sandpaper. Loved that they had Starbucks in the lobby. Rooms were adequate for a 3 star rating. I expected more from Marriott.

If it weren't for the desk staff, I would rate this lower.
