Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfy. The Indian meal was superb. I can see there is renovation work being done, so hopefully when its finished the hotel will brought up to date. It was cheap for an overnight stay, so worth it. Dog friendly and GF bread at breakfast.
The hotel was a bit shabby, in our room there was definitely some new furniture, but curtains could be changed as too small and very dirty.
I booked two rooms. One room was adequate. The other room was unsatisfactory. Specifically, the main door handle was malfunctioning, there was no bin in the toilet, and the shower was not functioning properly.
Didn't get a chance to try facilities
Hotel was closed due to power outage didn't know until arrival
Cooked breakfast not so good, also I ordered the porridge which was good but it was served with the cooked breakfast!
The bar facility and seating areas are very good.
The location was perfect for me. The room although budget is comfortable and clean, albeit the furniture looks like it’s seen better days.
The stairs/corridors
really need some serious work as very old and tatty. Lift was closed when i was there . There was no warm welcome from the guy on reception or offer of help to get bags up all the stairs. (however a lovely warm acknowledgement from the lady on reception when i left… I was in a rush so didn’t bother mentioning anything)No information given about anything. No information booklet in the room so I had no information about breakfasts or meals. No teaspoons, so i had to ask a member of staff i bumped into if i could have one. He was lovely and very helpful. I was there 3 nights and was expecting the room to be serviced on the 2nd day due to the info on website, so presumed coffee, milk etc would be topped up. I got back from a long wet hike late, and reception was shut. Room had not been serviced and there was no milk or coffee for me to have a hot drink. Too late for me to do anything about it. That was frustrating as you’d expect something during a 3 night stay. Also meant I couldn’t even have a coffee in the morning before I left. Although budget, I did pay a lot less for the premier inn, so I do think a few basics are expected regardless of whether it’s described as budget or not. It’s the little things that can make a huge difference.
Nothing as we didn't even get through the front doors.
They could have been a bit more proactive and warned us that the hotel was experianceing issues so we were able to arrange alternative accomodation, instead of us arriving at 9pm and then having to scramble to find a room at 10pm on a Friday night.
I understand the severity of a power failure and how crippling it can be, but to arrive and be told the news without any prior notice was something I feel could have been prevented.
We never stopped at hotel due to no electricity, I had to book another hotel for the night and still awaiting my money back.
I had to find another hotel after travelling 500 miles and being told on arrival that no electricity to come back in couple of hours to then return again later to be told the same thing. So ended up finding another hotel for night and still awaiting money back
The location.
Poor customer service and unprofessional staff.
Not processing refund after them cancelling our first night.
Hot tub was out of use and there wasn't any changing facilities for the sauna.
Parties communes vétustes et pas toujours très propres, chambre en cours de rénovation, cuvette de WC très mal placée. Hôtel qui a vécu son heure de gloire, mais qui vieillit mal.
The location was beautiful
Rubbish left in bin in room, receptionist quite rude, just was a bit grubby. Even the glass with my drink from bar had dirt inside.
Ample space for parking and location near lake and availability of Indian food.
Lift was under maintenance.
Location.
Modernise.
