This Hotel was so wonderful. The Views are amazing. The Room 2 queen beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was so spacious..
The RESTAURANT Seaway Grill....Sucked....It was NOT the Servers..It was the Management !!!! They actually said they could not seat our party of 10 (we Reserved in advance) until all parties were present...1 person was missing. REALLY....Then this is the best. The Manager said to a Couple who wanted to eat ....It will be 15 mins until i seat you because i have to seat this large Group. There was NO ONE IN THE RESTAURANT Except our table that was already set up. Our entire time of eating there was NO other Table occupied. Hmmmm I guess they knew something we did not.. Do Not go to the Seaway Grill...
Location
The multiple ants found in my room
Did not eat there, but the morning hot chocolate/coffee stations were a great idea and we did enjoy a cup on our way out. The firepit was enjoyable and the outdoor patio type area was beautiful. We were able to watch fireworks across the lake at night.
The pillows were nice and comfy and we had enough to sleep well. My husband also enjoyed the chocolates left for us- another nice touch you don't generally see.
Plenty of parking around the building.
Enjoyed the framed items and artwork running the walls. Nice visual.
I felt the staff was a bit stiff and snooty at the front desk. Also there was a wedding or gathering going on and the band played quite late making it difficult to sleep.
The garden areas were unfinished edging the waterside . They were like open pits. Didn't match the meticulous grounds and setting. Would have made sitting in the adirondack chairs watching the waterway a bit nicer.
Hallway had a musty seawater like odor as you walked through.
Excellent location very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Beautiful views of the river.
Everything was great
The hotel was immaculate. Location breathtaking. Food at restaurant excellent and a good value. Staff were friendly. The hotel is so well maintained.
We had a river view which was excellent. It overlooked the hotel courtyard which had the outdoor seating for the restaurant and also two firepits to gather around. The boardwalk is right outside the courtyard gate. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and the staff is great. Location is right on the edge of Clayton, so walkable to everything.
Couple things i thought were odd for a 4 Diamond Hotel: No in room safe for valuable; no fan in the bathroom to keep the steam down; when sitting in the courtyard, no one comes around to see if you would like a drink; and the elevators were the worst. One elevator would just stop working altogether (they only had two). Something about the hydraulics getting too hot due to number of people using them. Hydraulic elevators, according the maintenance man, are not that common and have lots of problems. On top of that they were very slow.
Very nice hotel staff
Restaurant service was slow and awful on our last day pool was not available on day 2
Our fourth trip here. Good location, clean, wonderful staff, good food but a little more variety would be nice. Love the self serve coffee bar they set on each floor, much better than machines in the rooms, wish other hotels did it. Could stand some room upgrading. Paint on walls showing chips etc. Saw one balcony screen taped together. 1 of 2 elevators down first day. Heard staff say several rooms had AC breakdowns that day.
Beautiful location n hotel. Expensive but the views worth it. Close to everything in clayton.
Had a room facing the river with a balcony. Outstanding experience to show my partner some aspects of river life. The sunsets were wonderful to watch from the balcony as well as drinking morning coffee.
Location on water and nice amenities!
Restaurant a little pricey with few bargain offerings.
We were in an inside room that faced the parking lot. Looking back now, I would have preferred a waterfront room.
I thought the breakfast prices were high compared to some of the local eateries.
This was our third stay at 1000 Islands harbor Hotel. First two stays were very enjoyable. Grounds are beautiful and staff is professional. Unfortunately, we were beyond disappointed. First and foremost air conditioning in our room did not work and after a few conversations with staff it was finally repaired. I firmly believe the tech that fixed our air conditioning used our bathroom. Additionally, two of four towels were in significantly poor condition as the entire width of the towels were falling apart. Housekeeping brought us new towels, but they never should have left towels in such disrepair in the first place. Lastly, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. My friend ordered his tuna rare and it was served well done. Rather than a quick re-do it was smothered with extra glaze. His dinner was removed from our bill, but it should not have been served. Going forward we will stay in other areas in the 1000 Islands.
