We’ve stayed seven years in a row, and will keep coming back
Pros:

Rustic vibe, good spaces outdoor, amazing food / restaurant, best in town

Cons:

Didn’t miss tv, but would be good if they actually worked and were upgraded. Stayed seven years in a row and you don’t remember us.

Nice style and great staff but won’t be back
Pros:

Staff are lovely, free sauna was amazing. Onsite food and coffee also very very good. Room was styled well

Cons:

The SHOWER. absolutely woeful. Unfortunately this shower is enough the ensure we won’t be back.

Pros:

Great location for us, very friendly staff who were very willing to do anything asked.
The rooms were eclectic. They had everything needed.
The rooms were very warm and had full black out curtains
Great price for what it was
The hotel is older, and the rooms have been done up but without taking away its original character.
They were very eco- conscious, but ensuring everything was there that you would expect

Great staff, service & food in the restaurant

Cons:

The rooms were quite dark (colorwise), and the lighting wasn't so good.

Excellent value and always a great experience - we will definitely be back :-)
Pros:

We love staying at the Sherwood, it’s a real vibe. The restaurant is wonderful, the staff amazing and it really is a wonderful experience. The girls took part in a yoga class while the boys took a sauna.

Underwhelming, has potential to be lovely but needs to fix some things.
Pros:

Comfortable bed. Nice view. Delicious breakfast. Liked the little waterfall just outside our room.

Cons:

Really poor lighting. The bed had obviously been moved but the lighting wasn't so couldn't easily read in bed. The shower took forever to get the temp right and then kept changing and was also really dark. No television which didn't bother me but could bother a lot of people. Parking was not proximate to the room. We spent a bit more on this place hoping to spoil ourselves a bit for the night and it didn't meet expectations.

Good , would recommend but if spending evenings in, the lounge area is not set up for relaxing comfortably
Pros:

Bed comfy, heating good and easy to adjust, bathroom etc all fine. Very friendly reception staff. Restaurant excellent. Parking outside room great

Cons:

Lack of easy chairs for evening relaxing, also lack of TV (very surprising)

Pros:

Bed was comfy, staff were great, view was stunning (waterfall room) and food was incredible! It was nice to wander around the garden and see what food they had growing. We had breakfast included and it was such a treat. The decor and atmosphere were lovely. We both enjoyed a massage
(pregnancy/ deep tissue) and my partner loved the sauna. Coffee in the room was yum.

Cons:

Bathrooms were very dated compared to the room and the shower goes from cold to scalding very quickly! Once you get the knack it's okay. We were prepared for this from other reviews, though.
