No TV, bed was very low with not much bedding
The breakfast was lovely- not a huge menu and could do with expanding the options. However the daily breakfast package is $40pp for adults and $20pp for children however you could order a main and a drink from the menu for less than the package fee which makes no sense really.
The room servicing was also great, the room was always tidied daily and beds remade.
There were so many strange things about this hotel which in my opinion makes your stay much less enjoyable. Firstly no TV was a huge downside with 2 children and although offered a projector, I have no streaming services to use that with and the internet is so awful that streaming would be an issue.
No microwave either and the 'cooking facilities' were not exactly easy to use- no frying pans made cooking easy meals impossible.
The 2 children's beds were the couch, so no one could sit on the couches and enjoy some down time.
There is ZERO storage in the whole place so all clothing, underwear and shoes were just on top of the table in the lounge room or all over the floor, so again, the table became unusable, there was nowhere in the bathroom for 4 people's bathroom requirements and no where to hang 4 towels - 2 only could be hung. There was also no where to hang your skiing clothes when trying to dry them for the following day and the hotel is advertised as being close to ski fields, a simple hanging rack in the lounge room would have gone a long way to keeping everything off the table and floor.
The kitchen bins were located in the lounge room on the carpet.
Water pressure was non existent in the shower however the shower was very hot, which made up for the pressure issues.
I feel like with some minor alterations this hotel could be very comfortable and enjoyable. Value for money is not something that I feel that I received in this hotel. It was expensive and not worth the money.
Very good. Some inconsistencies on what was included within breakfast each day as advised by different staff
Room was good and cosy, facilities good, great breakfast inclusion!
Room didnt have any coat hooks, Excessively expensive on Laundry use.
Meet my needs for two nights
Parking, also a little hard to find.
The room was amazing, it fit the vibe that we were going for. The view was amazing especially in the mornings. The location was perfect as it was central to go to the mall/supermarket and going to the CBD.
The bar staff
Nothing
Can't beat the price and location. It's just a short drive into the town center and has great views of the Remarkables. They provided coffee, tea, and milk, and restocked upon request. Housekeeping made the bed daily as well. They also made it really easy for us to extend our stay when we needed to.
Parking was a little limited onsite, but there was street parking right behind our building. The water temperature was a little touchy. You either get freezing cold or boiling hot, but that's kind of the case throughout the country, not just here.
The location is fantastic, close to town with great views of the mountains and lake. The staff are very welcoming and helpful both at reception and the restaurant.
The restaurant has such high quality food.
Our lodge was spacious and had most things that made our stay enjoyable.
In our room, a 2 bedroom with basic kitchen would have been fantastic if a coffee machine was available and not a coffee plunger (personal preference) and a microwave to heat up the milk.
The lighting in the lounge room is a little bit dim but what we found lacking was a table with chairs for a comfortable place to eat. The bench and bench chair wasn’t functional when we all wanted to sit down and have something to eat as a family.
Spacious accommodation. Good layout of space. Amazing food and drinks and atmosphere of the onsite facilities restaurant and bar and outdoor fire area. Views are amazing and location is great for airport and remarkables skiing. Always stay here whilst in Queenstown. Can highly recommend.
Stairs are very noisy and room in general is noisy - outside noise ect.
No key return box for out of hours.
The parking should be specifically for that room and that people visiting for the bar/restaurant should have to park above or outside of the facilities, especially given your paying X amount for a room it's not acceptable to have to cart all your luggage to your room from afar when you have booked to stay here unlike visiting for dinner. That was frustrating.
Location, comfort, friendly staff and food in no particular order
This was such a fun hotel to stay in. The vibes were 10/10. It was so relaxing and I'm obsessed with the eco vibes. The yoga studio had amazing classes, the plunger coffee, divine smelling soaps, mountain views and cozy aesthetic made for an amazing stay. Wish I'd stayed longer.
Absolutely nothing.
The staff were lovely and the room was comfortable and cosy. Our room had a balcony perpendicular to the lake which had beautiful views, and our window faced the other way looking up the hill so wasn't as nice of a view but just depends which room you get given. There was a mini fridge, tea, coffee, and even milk provided and I appreciated how the hotel made an effort towards sustainability. Off-street parking was available and the restaurant was nice. Would recommend and would stay here again :)
The main downside was that our shower was very difficult to balance to get the right temperature - if turned even slightly it could go from freezing to boiling and the water pressure wasn't very good. It did get cold in the room at night despite the heater and blankets because there is no duvet on the bed, only sheets and blankets.
