It was very basic but totally fine if you are out and about seeing the sites

We booked a Deluxe Double Room with Acropolis View at the Lotus Center Inn for the night of 21–22 May 2026, and the Acropolis View was not incidental to our choice — it was the entire reason we selected this property. Upon arrival, however, we were informed that our reserved room was unavailable due to alleged "technical issues," with no prior notice whatsoever — no call, no email, no message through the Booking.com platform. The room we were assigned instead faced a construction site, no view of the Acropolis. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement: we had specifically paid for an experience that was advertised, confirmed, and contractually owed to us, only to find it substituted at the last moment with something that bears no resemblance to what we booked. This is not a matter of preference or minor inconvenience — it is a failure to deliver a clearly defined and paid-for room category, compounded by a complete absence of transparency or advance communication that would have allowed us to make alternative arrangements. We are sharing photographic evidence of the view we actually received, which speaks for itself.

There was some confusion about prepaid breakfast

I showed up and the hotel was closed at 6pm despite that is the exact hour I gave them for check in. I called and messaged and no one picked up. I was exhausted from 14h of travel and they basically closed the hotel. I wasnt sure what to do and left and they ended up opening half an hour later. No apology nothing. The man said "oh i was busy" (probably sleeping or something). Never seen something like this.

Apart from that horrible first experience, the ac was not working so i could barely get any sleep in. The bed was not comfortable and the elevator smelled like the worst sweat. I would gag taking it upstairs. There is no rooftop terrace. Thats a room you got to book with a private terrace and the view of the Parthenon is nice but tiny.

L’absence d’un early breakfast, lorsque nous avons prévenu la veille de notre départ a 07h30, sous prétexte que le petit déjeuner débutait à 8h, pas vraiment à la hauteur du niveau de l’établissement et sans proposition de remboursement surtout !

El agua caliente nos dio algunas peleas al inicio, pero nada grave. Lamentamos que tuvieran un overbooking y no poder hacer nuestra última noche en este hotel como estaba reservado. Una sugerencia es que las tv sean smart pudiendo conectarse a plataformas para contenidos en otros idiomas. Se pone difícil ver la tv en griego :)

Leider viele Baustellen in der Umgebung, aber dafür kann yHotel nichts.9

Durch die zentrale Lage etwas hellhörig. Die Zimmer könnten etwas liebevoller eingerichtet sein, es hängt weder ein Bild noch sonstige Dekoration im Zimmer.

Stronger water to flush the toliets

Very noisy neighbourhood. Noise until 2 in the morning and road traffic and works at 7:30 in the morning

Wem Ausblick und Lage das Geld wert ist: richtige Wahl!


Wer auch Wert legt auf ......

-prakt. Ausstattung (zB Steckdosen am Bett, Gelass für Kleidung)
-ein Bett, das nicht durchgelegen ist
-funktionierende Dusche (Foto toll, aber vor Ort: alles aus Kunststoff, Überkopfbrause funktionierte nicht)
-Bedienungsanleitung für FB-Markise
oder Jacuzzi
-durchgehend kompetente und freundliche MA and der Rezeption
-Frühstück mit Auswahl (4 kleine Variationen in Lokal/Nebenstraße)

.....der sollte lieber eine andere Unterkunft wählen!
