Great basic hotel
Pros:

* perfect beds, high, nice mattress
* basic rooms, but in a good way: everything covered
* nice shower

Cons:

* breakfast was ok, but was cold (eggs) and did not get re-stocked
* can be noise in the early morning as there is a restaurant below where chairs are moved as the staff sets up everything for the day to come

Excellent location right at the Slovenian–Italian border, close to the highway — perfect for an overnight stop during a longer trip to Italy or France. We stayed for one night and it was very easy to drive into Trieste for dinner. The rooms were clean and well equipped, breakfast was good, and both check‑in and check‑out were quick and smooth.
