Coming from France, we did my daughter and I the Swedish massage with Leah, and we have to say that Leah is extraordinary, it was our best massage ever and we had some …
Leah connect to your body as no one else, it was incredible. We strongly recommend !
Very disappointing experience and absolutely not worth the price. The hotel is extremely overpriced for what it offers. The room had almost nothing included — even basic items like water bottles, creams, or amenities were extra charges. When I asked for simple English breakfast tea bags, I was told to go buy them from the restaurant instead of providing them as a courtesy, which was shocking for a hotel charging these rates.
The spa experience was even more disappointing. They basically put you in a mud tub for 15 minutes, then have you rinse off and sit in another tub they call “mineral water,” followed by a steam room and wrapping you in a sheet. That’s it. There was no real massage included despite how the website presents the experience. For over $250 plus tip, it felt completely misleading and not luxurious at all.
Also, there was nothing shown or certified anywhere proving this was actually a true mineral spring spa experience. Overall, the stay and spa were far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel or spa, especially for the price they charge.
The people who work at this wonderful place make it even more special than its beauty and amenities.
Marilyn, Henry, and Rocky are fabulous human beings who are really generous with their time and make sure that you feel seen and taken care of. I really appreciated how friendly they were with us. I felt like a pal more than a guest in the best way.
Thank you, fabulous staff for treating us with so much hospitality 🥰
Spring pools are amazing. Grounds and restaurant are very relaxing. Perfect place to hang out w family.
Kindness & attention to the visitors needs. The folks who worked there seemed to work well as a team and enjoyed helping others folks.
Relaxed & stylishly in a 1960s sort of way.
Dr Wilkinson’s Spa is an amazing unique get-away in an incredibly beautiful setting surrounded by hills in the distance, wine trails and a picturesque little Main Street. The rooms were impeccably clean and well designed. There was not the sterile feel but an environment that felt warm, quirky and inviting. The staff was friendly and went to great lengths to insure my wonderful Mother’s Day treat from my son exceeded expectations. The on site restaurant had the most delicious halibut tacos I have ever had and served exceptional local wine.
The spa service of the mud bath and the mineral water bath was totally relaxing. The staff provided continual monitoring to make sure we were comfortable, well hydrated and had everything we needed. Again the experience exceeded expectations.
I cannot wait to return and share this experience with my husband.
I highly recommend Dr Wilkinson’s hotel facility and spa.
Exceptional service in a retro chic cool resort like property. Rooms are beautifully converted motel style rooms into super trendy and contemporary style rooms. The mineral pools are all wonderful and a nice variety of temperatures and settings. The spa is fantastic and the mud treatment is extremely well done and very luxurious and relaxing. It is a warm zero gravity feel that leaves skin looking and feeling great.
Tips- enjoy the outdoor seating- try the fish tacos- drink lots of water- and take the bikes down the vine trail (or walk)
Spending time at the outdoor restaurant was wonderful! Friendly staff and great food/atmosphere!
Would have liked a quieter ac system, otherwise everything was wonderful
Great facilities (3 pools with various temperatures), cafe on site, spa is lovely. Nearby restaurants, grocery store and shops.
Had a great experience at the spa. I did a traditional mud bath and loved it. Martha was great to work with coordinating my busy schedule and she was very nice. Jasmine did a great job walking me through the experience.
They both did such a good job I booked a session for my wife and she also enjoyed her mud bath.
Lifetime Marriott titanium here. This hotel is not worth the spend. Rooms are basic cinderblock walls with HVAC normally used at a Fairfield Inn. Everything is noisy. You’re going to hear everyone outside as well as your neighbors alcohol fueled evening amorous achievements. So, bring earplugs if you want to sleep, and do t expect any quiet relaxation on a weekend. The rooms have no storage, so don’t expect to unpack. They also can’t seem to afford basic hotel amenities like an iron either. Makes you wonder where that $700 a night is going. Bottom line, you’re better off throwing your cash in the mud bath than booking a room here.
What a wonderful stay for our group! From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were well cared for. Sean (Shaun?) the engineer was a stand out. But everyone was super lovely. The rooms were clean and cute. There was some construction going on which impacted some of the rooms, but this was NOT the fault of the property and the staff handled it the best they could.
Had a wonderful weekend stay with my girlfriend. The staff were all very kind and helpful - especially Henry M. He even spent the time to get to know us and our dog and gave us some recommendations and deals for nearby wineries.
Super relaxing stay at Dr. Wilkinson's. Friendly staff went the extra mile for us. Mud bath, food, all great.
I have been a fan of Calistoga for over 20 years. As a frequent guest of two other properties, I never thought to stay at Dr. Wilkinson's. We decided to book a last minute trip with Bonvoy points and Dr. Wilkinson's popped up. What a wonderful surprise! Everything from check in, to the food and beverage, the great room with HUGE tub (Spa Cottage) was incredible. My fiancé booked a massage and said it was one of the best she's had in recent memory. I would like to give a special shout out to Rocchi at the front desk. So genuinely warm and friendly - clearly someone who enjoys hospitality.
The revamp of Dr Wilkinsons is so full of
modern flair. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The ability to enjoy a bottle of wine by the fire pits was a bonus and the food from House of Better was delicious! The mineral pools were great but get there before Saturday when more families arrive. Our room was quiet and clean. We could walk to tasty restaurants and fabulous shops in town. Definitely going back!
From the moment we checked in, I felt like I was at somebody’s home. Being cared for nurtured and seen. Everything was wonderful even the restaurant! I ate there several times. Laying by the pool was a great experience as well. Everything is spotless, clean and all attention to detail is there!
