If you have no budget for a better accommodation, stay here. But if you have budget a bit over than their rate, go to another hotel. Only two best things abut this place--its staff and its location. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They helped booked us our airport transfers and very respectful. The location is near most attractions. The room is OK but the SMELL is terrible! Its like sleeping in a sewer, we had to put on mask and cover ourselves head to toe to sleep better. Opening the door to the veranda won't help. Covering the drainage won't help. If they fix this, then super value for money. Good thing we are out the whole day. I regret not trusting the reviews and thought maybe it's not that bad. It is very b.a.d.!!!

We had a good experience with our stay, Linh and Trang helped us making booking for cruises with good discounted prices. The stay in close to many touristic places, we walked to the night market, the lake side etc. It was indeed at wonderful stay in the middle of the old harbour.

It's a really good location for Hanoi

We stayed at this hotel earlier this year and clearly regretted not taking taking the advice of other traveller's reviews.
The location is very good,located just off train street however, everything good ends there.
We booked a city view, checked and they gave us a box room with a window into the hallway. We then said nope and they moved us to a room with a window that faced out to the back over the hotel amongst the hotel construction garage, at this point we just said xxxx.
The next day they moved us to the city view which is actually a small street view that faces onto a very busy walk way and had partying and loud noise all night, the best part the room had a toxic sewerage smell that was so bad you could taste it, yes super gross. Mentioned as we checked out, response, o we will check it.
There are a lot of better choices in the same area.

Location essentially located near all

The pictures that are shown on Expedia do not reflect in actual real world conditions. The front entrance area is dirty, run down and small/crowded. The hallways are also small and rundown, carpets are in need of changing, walls need patching up and painting. Family rooms need a major reno especially the bathroom. Sewer smell from the bathroom, caulking has black stuff on it(maybe mold) and water pressure ok to non existent. Shower area had a issue before my stay and they never patched the ceiling area around the pipes. Trang was most helpful in arranging to have us move to 2 seperate rooms at no extra cost. Those rooms were better. Thank you Trang. David was also very helpful. The location is excellent as the train street is very close(1 minute walk and lots of places to eat food) but the overall condition of the hotel is bad. They say that the hotel was built in 2016 but it looks like it's been in use for decades. I would look for somewhere else close by to stay in next time.

Location was good. Near train street and nice restaurants. Walking distance to everything.

This hotel is quite comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. I felt comfortable around tourists, hotels close to stores, eateries, ATMs, and everything else that was secure. This hotel is the greatest.

Room is dirty and smells bad

I think probably most of the reviews are not genuine as the hotel is old, tired and not very good. Rooms are small, badly decorated and smell bad. Location is far from old quarter and not near any tourist locations. The reception is so small, other part is massage! Staff OK only. I'd recommend other hotels near the lake. Will not stay again!

Great double bed room, a lot of light compared to other places where I had very small window.
Very nice staff as well, very attentive and patient.
