The staff is great and the hotel is very clean.
It is quite far from subway or JR station. Also, our room was way too small, even for Japanese standard (in the toilet, when the door is closed, there is basically no space to move).
Zimmer war sehr klein aber gut durchdacht, es hat an nichts gefehlt, Die Einrichtung war relativ neu. Es gab eine Waschmaschine im Haus, einen Getränkespender und in der kleinen, aber sehr wohnlichen Foyer, auch die Möglichkeit, sich Tee oder Kaffee zuzubereiten, oder in der Mikrowelle etwas aufzuwärmen. Die Mitarbeiter waren selbst für Japan außergewöhnlich freundlich.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein und wenn man zur Toilette wollte, gab es eine Art Senke im Boden - d.h. nachts musste man aufpassen, um nicht hineinzufallen.
Great location, walking distance to Ueno Park. We loved the use of facilities - coffee machine and microwave with utensils to use and the coin laundry. Our room was spacious and hotel was in a nice, quiet location near the station. We booked a bigger room for extra space for two of us and it felt like we had a mini apartment (room 603)
The neighbourhood is quite lively, which is quite nice to experience in the evenings. Lots of local shops and restaurants around, close to train stations.
Smallest room is quite small but you know it when you rezerve the room. If you are tall, it is very difficult to use the toilet :)

Die Zimmer wurden nachdem sie am Anfang sauber waren nicht mehr sauber gemacht. Der Zimmerservice hat nur wenig gemacht.

Hotel Paul House was a lovely stay! We stayed as a family of four, children aged 10 and 8. We walked to the station everyday as it was close by. Was really close to Ueno Park too which we recommend!
The hotel was lovely and clean with friendly staff. We managed to get some laundry done, and really found the facilities useful - with a microwave on the 5th floor, convenient for our late night snacks and warming our food up.
It was the perfect little stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Paul House Hotel! The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our visit. A lovely touch: free water and coffee at reception, perfect for the mornings. The room was impeccably clean, and the location couldn't be better. Highly recommended!
