We were attending a wedding in Richmond park so needed two nights to sleep and get ready. It’s worth staying this side of Richmond park as I think the price point was great for what the room was and the pub offered and was only a short 10 min uber to the wedding or a nice 40 min walk back of an evening which is quite nice.
The room and bathroom was spotless! Water, tea and coffee is in the room. The bed was comfy the bathroom had a nice powerful shower. Calm decor and no issues at all. Staff were all very friendly and polite, well presented and available when needed. Worth noting there isn’t staff 24 hours a day which wasn’t an issue for us at all and completely understandable but you do have 24 hour acaess to the rooms round the side of the pub oh and free parking is a huge huge huge bonus!!
Check in staff could have a little better training on where the side gate is when the pub is closed. We had to work it out after the wedding late at night.
There is a fan in the room but it was very hot at night and it is under the flight path
Lovely garden and lovely staff !
Might have got a traffic ticket going into their car park
Everything! Lovely pub in quiet location. Nicely decorated & clean room. Staff very helpful & friendly. Continental breakfast really good & food at dinner was excellent.
Nothing!
Great stay at the Victoria, only complaint is could of done with air conditioning as we stayed during an exceptional heatwave. But otherwise all facilities met with expectations. Shout out to the brilliant complementary breakfast which we had in the wonderful beer garden.
Lack of air conditioning. Very difficult during heatwave conditions.
Quiet area. Very friendly staff. Lovely evening meals.
Very hot room despite a fan. Stayed 2 nights but room not cleaned/no clean cups etc provided. Continental breakfast was included but we only saw cereal each morning plus priced menu for full breakfast.
Great location
It was a pleasant 2 night stay. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room and facilities were good and clean throughout. The Continental breakfast was very good and the evening meals we had were excellent and good value.
When we arrived in the late afternoon, the weather was very warm and the window was closed in our first floor room. It felt very hot in there and despite opening the window when we arrived and turning on the fan provided, it remained uncomfortably hot when we were trying to sleep. The second night was totally different (same temperature outside) as the window had been open all day. Just a suggestion to open the windows before the guest arrives to let the heat out.
The location of the Victoria is perfect a stones throw from Richmond Park and Richmond town centre. The fact that we were able to park our car at no extra cost was a real bonus. We felt safe and secure. The garden area is really very nice and the staff nothing but helpful.
The room was on the small side and very hot which is why I didn't rate it higher; however, a fan was provided by didn't make an awful lot of difference.
The pub and dining space was amazing and i really liked the location.
Its a bit tight if you are renting a vehicle. Id suggest this 10/10 for someone who is being dropped off or is planning on walking from here.
Breakfast was good better than last time we stayed coffee good service good location is brilliant staff excellent and no charge for children’s portions was a nice touch
Evening meal disappointing we’ve eaten there many times over last few years and menu not up to normal expectations and my steak was very well done and not medium rare bedroom basins had a problem one the plug hole wouldn’t close fully the other wouldn’t open so water unable to run away the whole place now looking a little tired especially the dining room chairs
The staff were particularly good
It was just right.
Great location for both Thames river walks and for Richmond Park.
Lovely pub. Staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental and you couldn’t ask for better.
Unfortunately there was a terrible smell in the room which was coming from the shower trap. The window was open in the room when we arrived. Terrible night sleep due to the smell getting worse throughout the night. In the morning it had gone. We had breakfast and when entering back into our room the smell nearly knocked me out. It was terrible. I went to tell the staff and I asked to be moved rooms. This was all done with no fuss and staff were most helpful.
