Nice location
Rooms small
Hotel moderno, limpio y bien ubicado
Location was great. Friendly staff, allowed me to extend the check out by a couple of hours.
Elevators under construction, took a long wait. Street noise and light came thru the windows and curtains.
We asked to change the room and was shown to the newly renovated room which was appreciated.
On our first night, we woke up with power outage since 4.30am. Luckily we changed our room from 17th floor to the 5th floor!!I could not imagine how rough it would be for guests who stay at higher cloor. Of course it was not the hotel's fault, but there was absolutely no communication with guests regarding the situation and with a language barrier, it made things even more difficult.
There is renovation going on at the moment and many lifts were closed so there is also a wait time.
Breakfast variety was good but many options were not very tasty.

Nothing, we were glad when our trip ended.
Our stay at Hotel Kazakhstan was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had and I’m writing this to save others from the same ordeal.
The property is actively under renovation, which means random electricity and water cuts with zero advance notice. Air conditioning disappears without warning (especially at night which means a sleepless night) and expect loud drilling and hammering starting from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, not ideal if you’re hoping for any kind of restful trip.
The hotel has multiple floors in varying states of renovation. Some rooms are updated, many are not. We ended up paying extra out of pocket just to move to a decent room, as our original one had outdated AC, poorly maintained bathrooms, no sound isolation and extremely small room. Just a horrible room. If you still plan to book after reading this, at least inspect the room before accepting it.
The front desk staff were unhelpful and at times outright rude. During our first three-night stay, they quietly upgraded our room without telling us, with no mention that it was a favor or an exception. Based on that experience, we made the mistake of booking an additional eight nights.
When we returned from a three-day side trip to Saty and checked back in, the room was nothing like before. When we explained to staff that we’d extended our stay based on our first room’s quality, their response was sarcastic, asking why we hadn’t checked the photos ourselves and then blaming the original upgrade on a “hotel mistake.” Instead of resolving it, they kept sending us to view other rooms, all of which had poor sound insulation and old AC. At one point, a staff member said, “Oh please, I have other things to do.” (His name starts with E). The staff really needs a hospitality training. Their sarcastic and arrogant attitude is not acceptable for a 4 stars hotel!
Newly renovated room, centrally located, pick up hotel for tours out of the city. Good breakfast selection.
