Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut.
Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend für den Besuch des Basel-Tattoo in der alten Kaserne!
400 m zu Fuß bis zum Fähreanleger am Rhein.
Die Fähre legt dann auf der nördlichen Rheinseite direkt vor der Kaserne an.

Pros:

Locatie, mooi en sfeervol, aan de rand van de alt stad. Je moet wel afdalen via een 81 treden trap tusendoor wegje, die je dus ook weer opmoet. Ontbijt is prima, zeer veel keuze mogelijkheden.

Cons:

Geen lift in het zijgebouw.

Wie erwartet und erhofft.
Pros:

Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet und alles Nötige vorhanden. Bei geöffnetem Fenster war morgens der Verkehr (Kehrichtabfuhr) sehr gut zu hören.

Would recommend to all friends visiting Basel for short visits looking for a central location.
Pros:

The room was spacious and very clean. We felt very comfortable with 2 kids.
The staff at the check-in desk was very friendly and helpful.
We were informed about where to park and which exit to use for easy access to the hotel.

Cons:

Unfortunately we stayed only 1 night. There is no negative experience we had.

Zentral, gut und angenehm
Pros:

Zentrale Lage. Man kann die Stadt zu Fuss abklappern und ist willkommen. Kein Lärm und angenehm gekühlt. Dieser Tage ist die Klimaanlage sehr angebracht.

Cons:

Leider ist das Hotel sehr verwinkelt und für das Aufsuchen der Zimmer braucht man fast einen Plan - Google Maps hilft da leider nicht. Dennoch gefunden!

Excellent standard of room with clear attention to detail (apart from the slippery shower)
Pros:

We were each given a Basel Card for free travel on trams and buses during our stay, including the Airport bus. The room was large and Reception were able to lend us Swiss adaptor plug for our room. We were allowed to check in early and were pleasantly surprised that the Hotel was so close to the impressive Basel Botanical Gardens. I was surprised that this was only a 3-star establishment as our room was quite large. Breakfast was at an extra cost but was good value.

Cons:

Again, the shower tray was slippery but we were provided with face cloths in the bathroom, which is a relatively uncommon practice in mainland Europe.
There was an electrical problem with our room lock but this was attended to immediately by the General Manager himself.
The hotel was two doors away from a church, the bells of which were rung at 0700 on both mornings (no wake-up calls required!)
