L'emplacement de l'hôtel proche de la ville historique
Petit-déjeuner moyen, les tables et chaises non lavés de plus lorsque j'ai demandé un bagel j'avais l'air de l'embêter
Ended up with a very late night arrival, but check in was still great and received a nice bag of waters and snacks. Ron at the car valet stand was cheerful and friendly every time I entered or left the building throughout day, although I personally didn’t use their valet service. Free breakfast is always a plus. I also appreciate good water pressure in the shower and seemed to be plenty of hot water. Walking distance to lots of shops, bars and eateries; highly recommended Whiskey Tango Foxtrot for handcrafted cocktails and excellent selection of beer and spirits.
I didn't have the breakfast, because I was only there for one day. I didnt wake up I in time. This trip was just for to have a sisters day.
The refrigerator, it didn't get the food or drinks barely cold.
Ron was very friendly and gave great information and guide tips. He’s a treasure.
This is a tough one. There are some good things about this hotel. Location is everything, and it's easy walking to the historic downtown, shops, restaurants, convention center, and more. The staff is mostly very polite, helpful, and smiling, though the young woman who checked us out was grumpy and didn't seem to know what she was doing. She had on a dirty sweatshirt with bleach stains, and she never stood up from her stool. Not impressed with her at all. But the others were quite nice to deal with.
Parking is more than tricky. On the street is "pay to park," and we were issued a parking ticket 30 minutes AFTER we paid for 3 hours. Had to appeal it. This is not the hotel's fault, but the only other parking options were a long walk to a public parking place with your luggage in tow, OR valet parking which was pricey. We loved the valets though. Super kind and friendly. One gentleman even tried to help me with the parking citation.
As for the rooms, ours was in need of a facelift. The carpet is squares, and most of them were curling up and needed shampooing. The bed was very comfy, but the cover over the box spring was soiled and torn. Come on! Simple things like We only one towel and had to go to the front desk to get more, and the toilet paper was just sitting on the counter because there was no dowel in the paper holder. The shower door leaked quite a bit on the floor. For the price of our room these things should not be an issue.
The hallways had similar issues. Wall paper was torn, peeling, and soiled, and the carpeting was quite soiled.
Breakfast was typical of continental. However, our issue was all three mornings we were there, they ran out of coffee by 8 a.m., and only one morning was there someone there to refill. He was quite nice by the way and apologized sincerely. The food was decent, but ran out long before the end of breakfast schedule. Could be because we saw folks take more than their share. But it reflects on the hotel.
Sounds like a terrible place, but truly our complaints are mostly because for the price, none of these should be an issue. Honestly, this hotel needs a facelift before I would stay there again.
Ron was super helpful and very kind! Gave my friends and I lots of great recommendations for food and drinks!
The location and the staff were great.
No complaints
The staff and stay were wonderful
The parking situation
A great location for walking the downtown area. The public areas and rooms are very clean and the breakfast is sufficient and tasty . All of the staff I encountered went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I would definitely return❤️
* Location & Room: Great location. The room matched the description, and we got exactly what we booked (two queen beds).
* Valet (May 25th): The valet guy working on May 25th was incredibly nice and helpful—he earned the hotel an extra star. (Unlike the one on May 24th, who couldn't care less).
1.Misleading info about the pool: I booked via Booking.com specifically for the indoor pool. There was no notification online that it was closed; I only found out at check-in. Free parking compensation didn't make up for it.
2.No housekeeping: We stayed for 2 nights, but trash was never emptied, and towels were never changed.
3.Unhelpful staff: On May 25th, we asked the front desk to refill the empty shower gel. They promised to send someone but never did.
4. Breakfast fail: They offered cereal and muesli for breakfast, but no milk was provided on either day.
5. Room condition & Water: The bathroom ventilation didn't work, the carpet was very dirty, and the water provided for tea/coffee in lobby had a very unpleasant smell.
Ron was the best! Incredibly friendly and helpful. Please be sure to share this with him and praise him as he was truly the best part of our experience!
Ron, the valet attendant is a very nice gentleman. The best personality. Most friendly man. The lady who cooks the breakfasts is full of happiness that radiates onto other people. She makes your day start out on the right foot. The hotel room was very nice and clean. We will stay there again.
Great weekend in Wilmington, loved chatting with the valet Ron! Great guy, great stories.
Nice room, clean environment, great location
Roll up blind in room did not work so could not get sunlight or natural light in the room.
Ron the valet was awesome. He helped explain how to get to the USS North Carolina.
