호텔을 예약하기 전에 부킹닷컴이나 아고DA 등등 호텔 플렛폼 리뷰보다는 구글리뷰를 더 활용하는 편입니다. (여기 리뷰를 보는 사람들에게 도움이 되었으면 하네요 ㅎㅎ)
구글리뷰에서 보이는 몇몇 부정적인 리뷰를 보고 미리 우려했던 일들은 거의 일어나지 않았습니다.

주말간 열리는 자비츠 센터의 행사를 위해 가장 가까운 호텔을 찾아 방문했는데 방이 깨끗했고 전망도 좋았습니다. 외관을 보았을때 신축건물로 보이고 요즘은 신축이나 리모델링도 카펫보다 마룻바닥으로 만드는 추세라 여기도 그런 모습입니다. 깔끔해서 좋아요.
기본적으로 제공되는 것은 로비에 비치된 일회용컵과 물, 방에 있는 커피머신과 다리미, 무료 와이파이 입니다. 굳이 로비에서 물을 가져올 필요없이 방에 매일 청소할때 2병씩 채워줍니다.

에어컨도 잘되고 룸크리닝을 신청하면 매일 아침 10시부터 12시 사이에 해주고 제가 시차적응을 못해서 그보다 늦게 일어나는 날 클리닝을 놓쳐서 따로 말하면 해주더군요. 그밖에 침구류도 아주 편했습니다. 방에서는 따로 어뎁터 없이 USB 로 충전이 가능합니다. C타입은 기억이 잘 나지 않는데 아마 하나쯤은 있었을겁니다.
신축이라 그런지 아니면 저만 운이 좋아서 그런건지 특별히 방에 기술적인 문제는 없었습니다.
호텔 위치는 도보로 조금만 걸으면 바로 자비츠 센터 반대편으로는 맨해튼 중심부로 이동하기 좋은 위치고 주변 치안도 낮에는 괜찮습니다. 어딜가나 심야시간만 피하면 됩니다

소음... 이라고 할것도 없을 수준으로 주말 저녁에 라이브를 하는 카페가 앞에 있는 정도인데, 카페는 적어도 자정 이전에는 조용해지니까요. 그리고 뉴욕 중심으로 갈수록 밤에도 소방차 사이렌 소리가 자주 들리는 곳이라는 것을 알고 있어서 밤에 사이렌 소리가 들려도 특별히 불편하지 않았습니다. 옆방이나 층간 소음은 모르겠네요 방이 비었거나 아니면 조용한 사람들이 있었을 수도 있습니다.

식사는 모두 밖에서 해결했기 때문에 여기 아침 식사는 하지 않아서 모르겠고 룸서비스가 있는건지는 모르겠습니다. 호텔바로 옆에 샐러드 판매하는 곳이 있는데 매일 먹었을 정도로 강추입니다.

디파짓 비용이 총 100 불 발생합니다만 채크아웃 후에 문제없으면 일주일내로 돌려준다고 했습니다. 솔직히 명세서를 봐도 어느게 무엇을 청구한 어느것인지 뭐가 포함된 금액인지 혹은 제대로 환불이 되었는지 외국인 입장에서 저는 잘 모르겠습니다만 일단 주차장을 이용할 일이 없는 사람으로서 말하자면, 최종 청구된 금액을 봤을때 미국 호텔 예약할때 많이 걱정하는 리조트비 등등 이런건 최종가격에 크게 작용하지는 않는걸로 보입니다.
그러니까 처음 예약비용과 아주 같지는 않지만 어차피 추가로 내야하는 비용이 들어가 있다면 그정도는 그냥저냥 감안할 수 있다고 생각할 정도입니다. 다만 자동차를 가져오면 또다른 추가 요금이 발생할수도 있겠죠.

이 호텔은 역세권 깔끔한 시설에서 밤에 편하게 휴식하고 낮엔 하루종일 외출해 있는 사람에게 알맞습니다.

너무 오랜만의 뉴욕이라서 걱정했는데 ZIANA 라는 이름을 가진 데스크 직원이 매우 친절했습니다. 정말 도움이 되었어요.
복도에서 마주치는 직원들도 다들 친절했습니다. 다음에도 기회가 되면 머물고 싶습니다.

Cons:

아무래도 물가가 비싼 뉴욕이라 그런지 냉장고가 옵션에 없더라고요. 지하에 아이스 머신, 그러니까 벤딩머신 1대가 있어서 얼음을 비닐에 담아 해결 했습니다만 토요일처럼 붐비는 저녁에 가니까 기계에 얼음이 하나도 없었습니다.
부킹닷컴에서 예약할때는 냉장고 옵션이 없었는데 데스크에서 디파짓 비용을 내고 신청하면 따로 주는건지 그것까진 모르겠습니다. 다행히 제가 머무는 기간은 참을 수 있을만큼만 더웠고 방 에어컨도 잘되었지만 여름철에 냉장고가 없는데 호텔 얼음수요를 감당하는 벤딩머신이 1대 뿐이라는 것은 머물면서 가장 불편한 일이었습니다.

그리고 저만 창문을 못열었는지 모르지만 왜인지 창문이 열리지 않아서 방의 환풍이 안되는 느낌이었습니다. 아주 조금이라도 열리게 만들었다면 좋았을겁니다. 또 수압이 낮긴한데 요즘 신축들은 다 그러니까요.

방이 작아서 캐리어를 펼쳐놓으려면 가능한 자리는 문간 뿐이었고 뭔가 제대로 올려놓으려면 작은 책상 하나뿐이며 침대를 비롯해서 모든 전등은 무드등이라 전체적으로 방이 어두웠고 욕실이 천국의 문을 여는것처럼 제일 밝았습니다.
요즘은 종이 대신 스마트폰 등 전자기기를 사용하니까 이 부분은 취향따라 전혀 다르게 느껴질수 있습니다. 만약 밝은 방을 좋아한다면 조금 실망할수도 있겠습니다. :)

제가 선택한 방 크기는 최대 2인용이라도 1인용이 딱 적당하다고 생각합니다. (혼자 여행이라 다행이었습니다)
어쨌든 여긴 물가가 비싼 뉴욕이라서 그렇다고 생각하고 만족하는 호텔입니다만 냉장고와 공간문제로 가장 높은 점수를 주지 못하는게 아쉽습니다.

Bien pour le comfort et la situation géographique
Pros:

Localisation numéro 1, proche de Hell's kitchen pour trouver de bon repas et proche également des attractions de Times square. Comfortable, bien situé et sur une rue calme. Je recommande

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner en supplément est vraiment cheap, manque de choix et rien à manger dans l'assiette.
La salle de bain manque de propreté, a des taches suspectes sur les murs. La climatisation fait un boucan d'enfer.
