The perfect place to stay in Thanet.
Pros:

If you want to stay somewhere that has character then this is it. We arrived to be told we had been upgraded - always a good start - and were given a room with balcony, a sea view facing west so we had a great view of the sunset and could appreciate that this is Turner country. This is not just a hotel, it is an art gallery and a museum. Every available wall space has a framed picture on table linen left by a guest. There's quite a few by Tracey Emin. This is not just a hotel - it's the pride of Cliftonville.

Cons:

I should have booked for longer.

Pros:

It’s beautiful and got a lot of character.

Cons:

It is quite old and for the price I didn’t think it was worth the money, the breakfast was great and staff were excellent, but the facilities need a bit of love.

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

Lovely staff, great breakfast, good facilities and clean.

Cons:

Liked everything. Only minor things that could be improved were that the toilet was a bit difficult to flush and the shower was a bit erratic
