Characterful and comfortable old world charm. Fun place to stay evoking memories of a gentler time. Great room, good breakfast. We're returning customers and will be again.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast, big room
Room was very warm but there were fans and the window could be opened fully
If you want to stay somewhere that has character then this is it. We arrived to be told we had been upgraded - always a good start - and were given a room with balcony, a sea view facing west so we had a great view of the sunset and could appreciate that this is Turner country. This is not just a hotel, it is an art gallery and a museum. Every available wall space has a framed picture on table linen left by a guest. There's quite a few by Tracey Emin. This is not just a hotel - it's the pride of Cliftonville.
I should have booked for longer.
It’s beautiful and got a lot of character.
It is quite old and for the price I didn’t think it was worth the money, the breakfast was great and staff were excellent, but the facilities need a bit of love.
The art the staff location great hotel
Takes you back in time beautiful antique furniture tasteful placed and having a museum there made it so interesting. I love the terraced where we enjoyed having our coffees , my room was exquisite and spotless the view of the sea from my room window were amazing , breakfast was delicious and the staff gave an excellent service I would definitely stay there again
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.
Lovely traditional seaside hotel with gorgeous outside seating area - very helpful and friendly staff
No air con but a fan was provided
Lovely staff, great breakfast, good facilities and clean.
Liked everything. Only minor things that could be improved were that the toilet was a bit difficult to flush and the shower was a bit erratic
