In today’s terms it was cheap.
Pros:

The location was good. Not far from station, pubs and food outlets so having no breakfast service wasn’t a problem.

Cons:

The small double room we had was small, bed against the wall. No hot water to shower on the second morning.

It was good for what we needed it for as we had a tour booked in Barry, but bedrooms very much need updating.
Pros:

The look of the hotel looks amazing.
The location is also good.

Cons:

The room we were put in was a bit odd, bedroom curtain loops weren’t big enough to actually shut the curtains properly.
Bed very uncomfortable, and the shower only had temp hot and very hot. (On a boiling day- not so good)
Plus no fan or anyway to keep cool.

Everything. Member of staff on reception when we was arrived wasn’t pleasant was a bit rude. The room we had Room 17 was shocking it was too warm room was very hot no air conditioning in the room no fan offered. Chair at the dressing table was loose wardrobe was a joke open doors and it fell forward slightly bed was shocking bottom shot didn’t fit bed properly and don’t get me started on the bathroom it was disgusting sink too small bath and tiling was black mould in places no water pressure when having a shower and the shower pipe wasn’t long enough so you can’t stand under shower if you’re tall. Toilet was loose. I know window was high up but it was full of spiders webs get step ladder and clean it. Leave curtains closed because you can’t see another room and also the window ledge is dirty. Breakfast is no longer offered but they don’t tell you when you check in. This is no boutique hotel and their pictures don’t match the hotel

Disappointed room
Pros:

Didnt like anything at hotel .the

Cons:

The room really small bed very uncomfortable like sleeping on board didnt sleep well at all .very hot in there also smelling damp bath very dirty not cleaned by staff before checked in and no fan in room for the weather got so hot we where very disappointed I know room cheap but not what expected wont stay there again could job only one night checked out really early .

Disgusting didn’t even stay 1 hour

Cons:

Hotel looked old and scruffy from outside large amounts of bird poo all over windows corridors are narrow and dated rooms are nothing like pictures advertised very dated room carpets are coming up bathroom is dirty and needs painting

I just wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful to get my head down for a night and it was easy to find.
Pros:

Close to the station, friendly staff, comfortable bed and great value for money.

Cons:

Cleanliness, a little dust in a couple of places but nothing major.

Für einen ersten Tag in Wales, wenn man mit dem Flugzeug ankommt, ein idealer "Landeplatz".
Pros:

Der Empfang und Service waren sehr freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit, ansprechbar 24/7, man gab auch lokale Tipps zum Essen und für Ausflüge. Die Bar hatte bis 1:00 Uhr geöffnet und komode Preise. Die Lage ist perfekt, mit kurzem Fußweg zur High-Street, wo man einkaufen und Restaurant sowie Take-Aways finden kann. Zum Hafen bzw. Strand ist es dann schon ein längerer Spazierweg, aber durchaus machbar.

Cons:

Die Zimmergröße war schon "praktisch", aber nach meinen Erfahrungen in Wales nicht unüblich. Die Ausstattung war sehr einfach gehalten, also für einen längeren Aufenthalt muss man sich schon etwas einschränken. Becken und Toilette waren sauber und ordentlich, die Dusche hätte mal gereinigt werden können - aber nicht schlimm.
