Pros:

The staff provided excellent service, and the room I occupied was notably spacious (old school feel). The presence of a gas fireplace was a delightful amenity. I particularly enjoyed the terrace view from my accommodations.

Cons:

Regrettably, there wAs insufficient vegan meal options available, even after notifying. Breakfast was disappointing for me given the varietysupplied for everyone else. They did however communicate ahead of time that the vegan supplier was unavailable.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience pleasant. The food and services were good, and the lodge had a relaxing atmosphere.

Cons:

The room was not what I thought I would get. Very small, no carpet, shower small and not fully operable. For the price expected more.

Things change
Pros:

Staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We stayed at Budmarsh years ago and had an amazing overnight experience. The original restaurant serving exquisite meals is gone, the beautiful wine cellar is gone, the ambience of the bar area has been compromised by the large empty hall/room where the original restaurant was. Sad. but I believe ownership had changed and so has the experience.

Pros:

Room size, bed size are huge! I lived that. The interior design of it all is just timeless. Beautiful place indeed

Cons:

Bathrooms might need a little reno...mold marks on the silicon and grout are an easy fix😊 would give a more clean look.

It was a great stay
Pros:

I loved the whole look and feel of the property, the interiors are amazing and the feel of a Victorian Manor. I loved the fire place and the staff is do friendly

Cons:

The road to the property requested a SUV or high car. Wish I had been warned ahead of time. I do drive a high car so this was not an issue. I also did not like that there was no soap in the room

Beautiful place to stay
Pros:

Beautiful grounds, comfortable room and friendly staff. Room was warm as there was air-conditioning so we didn't feel cold. Spacious bathroom with warm shower. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful.

We enjoyed the location and the tranquility
Pros:

All the meals we had were excellent, a nice variety. Well presented and ample, breakfast was plentiful.

Cons:

The balcony outside our room was never swept during our stay; the rain gutters were overflowing with leaves, and we felt the grounds, ponds, and bridges on the walkways could all use a bit of maintenance and TLC. The cold tap for the bad leaked water onto the floor when filling the bath. Unfortunately (not the lodge's fault), we had a group of rowdy people during dinner. These same people kept opening and closing bedroom doors during the night and talking aloud when standing in the passage - all between 22h00 and 06h00. Damn nuisance.

Everything was rather “old” in need of some maintenance and an upgrade
No lighting above make-up mirror, plug cord too short. Exposed electrical wires everywhere, very ugly. Bathrobes old and worn.
