Very relaxing, loved the beer garden, and bed was really comfortable. Eating on the premises was lovely and would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Seats in the beer garden were placed right outside the room, it was very hot and needed the room windows open. The placing of the seats affected the privacy in the room.
Stunning breakfast , beautiful decor lovely vibe
Just disappointed as it was our anniversary if asked if there were any special treats / snacks left in room, had a confirmation that this would happen but it didn’t 🥲. There was very thick dust on the fabric blind with wax clearly visible and soap / shower containers were empty in the bathroom
Staff welcome location
Choosing the most appropriate room is important
Our room was so spacious and comfortable. It was very hot weather so the air con in the room was very welcome. The breakfast and evening meal we ate weee very good and value for money. We felt the hotel was reasonably priced and the staff were lovely
If we had the option we would have liked a different bathroom. The shower was over the bath which had exceptionally high sides for an older person to get in and out of.
The location and friendly
Nothing
Great value, amazing breakfast, quiet, plentiful amenities.
Pillows were quite hard, shampoo/body wash bottle was empty in the bathroom.
Our room was on the top floor unfortunately no lifts so we found the stairs a challenge in our 70 s. The room was comfortable but again shower over the bath so not ideal access for us. Loved the beer garden and the location was excellent. To be fair to the hotel we booked last minute and this was the only room available.
No lift in the hotel. Separate shower or just a shower instead of a bath would have suited us as we have limited mobility.
Excellent service and stunning food, fabulous location, can't wait to visit afain
Beautiful old building in lovely village - friendly staff and cozy surroundings. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Make sure to book dinner at Dexters and order the Chateaubriand! Best chips I’ve had in a long while too.
Nothing really to dislike - it’s an older building so maybe don’t expect everything to be “pristine” but it’s a lovely, comfortable atmosphere and substantial room with huge bed and anything you might need.
Suitable for what we wanted. Lovely breakfast.
Single room I had upstairs was a bit warm. No shower gel in the bathroom. Container was empty.
The food was lovely the breakfast was the best we’ve had fabulous
The lighting was poor in Restraunt and in room
