Poor
Pros:

Exterior of the building
Young woman on reception was pleasant & helpful & offered us a room closer to to the entrance as we had several bags.

Cons:

The restaurant and bar were closed, there was no mention of this at the time of booking and no reduction in cost.
Hotel interior is tired and run down.
Minimal staff available.
We were offered an alternative hotel but only after we had complained and unpacked our luggage!

Pros:

The initial photo of the facility. The exterior makes it inviting. The Morning staff were very pleasant.

Cons:

The interior is run down. Arrival was cold and uncomfortable was advised to go to their sister hotel for drinks, dinner or a warm breakfast. We drove over for dinner but was not what one would expect especially when they have a bar but don’t know how to make drinks or prices so drank a beer and left to go find other arrangements. The room was very uncomfortable and bed was nothing but springs making for the worst night sleep and terrible pains. Even had to request towels. I definitely do not recommend this place for overnight stays.

Noisy overnight from squeaky doors. Over the bath
Shower took ages to navigate to a comfortable temperature.

Wunderbare Übernachtung als Einstieg in die North Coast 500
Pros:

Sehr schöne Liegenschaft, genügend Parkplätze, toller Eingang und das Zimmer war gross genug, die Betten sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist in einem sehr schönen Saal mit viel Flair. Das Personal hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und der Hauskater Lucky hat unseren Aufenthalt wunderbar abgerundet.

Cons:

Wir hätten gerne im Castle zu Abend gegessen, die Küche hatte leider geschlossen, aber im anderen Hotel war es auch sehr schön.

Charmantes Hotel zum Verweilen
Pros:

Historisches Gebäude mit bewegter Geschichte, hat sich noch einen gewissen Charme erhalten. Das Haus ist ordentlich geführt, das Personal war freundlich, das kontinentale Frühstück reichhaltig. Diner gab es bei uns ausnahmsweise im Partnerhotel in der Stadt ca. 15 Gehminuten entfernt in ordentlicher Qualität und mit 10% Rabatt auf alles.

Keine Beschwerden.

Muy recomendable
Pros:

Si quieres vivir la experiencia de hospedarte en un castillo escocés, pero sin gastarte un riñón, este es genial! Es muy cuco por dentro, las habitaciones grandes y bien equipadas, las de la planta de arriba son increíbles de bonitas en cuanto a decoración, ventanales grande y vistas al jardín.

El desayuno no está nada mal, pero no esperes un gran buffet. Tiene un poco de todo, y más que suficiente para poder desayunar bien.

El entorno es muy bonito y tranquilo y el pueblo es precioso y agradable para darse un paseo.
