Pros:

Overnachten in een echt kasteel, tsja....een droom, en het was ook net een sprookje. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst en we konden direct een bezoekje aan de nabij gelegen distilleerderij boeken, dank!
Het diner en ontbijt in het kasteel zijn ook prima en er is een klassieke bar aanwezig. Leuke bediening met veel humor 🤗

Cons:

Niets...op een paar kapotte lampen na.

Cons:

Etwas Begrünung und Blumen fehlen mir.
Die Zimmer sind mittlerweile ,,abgewohnt" - alles in die Jahre gekommen.
Da stimmt Preis - Leistung nicht mehr.

Queen of the castle for a night
Pros:

Beautiful old castle. Unique experience. Lovely furniture and art works. Friendly staff. Big room.

Cons:

Bed was a little too firm. I suppose that comes with being an antique. A more modern mattress may have helped.

Im Schloss übernachten und in eine vergangene Zeit abtauchen. Englischer Charme inclusive
Pros:

Gut ausgestattetes Hotel in einem ehrwürdigen Schloss. Sehr geräumige Zimmer und Bad mit einer Sitzecke im Erker. Das Frühstück war sehr üppig und es war eine große Auswahl vorhanden. Interessant war der Durchlauftoaster. Gemütliche Bar für den Abend vorhanden.

Cons:

Der Wasserdruck im Bad hätte stärker sein können.

Staff were lovely throughout. Food in restaurant was really nice. Good location for walking to town and plenty of parking. A grand old building.

The decor and communal areas throughout appeared tired and yet building has huge potential.

A delightful overnight stay.
Pros:

This was a really quirky property with lots of corridors, lovely decor and very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

We missed a full Scottish breakfast but there was lots of choice from the continental offering.

tolles Erlebnis und guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausfülge z.B. zum Dunrobin Castle oder Glenmorangie
Pros:

einmal in einem Schloß zu schlafen war toll. Das Haupthaus hat ein tolles Flair und ist sehr gepflegt. Der Empfang war herzlich und auch sonst waren alle sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.

An impressive Victorian castle. Comfortable dog friendly bar area. Food was good. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Bit of a trek to Garden rooms up and down stairs round corridors. A ground floor entrance at the back would be a bonus.
Decoration etc is quite tired.

Good continental breakfast and we experienced staying in a castle.
