Mouse in the apartment and no solution offered!
Pros:

There is a MOUSE in my apartment, i have my two children with me, and the answer is get from the desk is that the mice should run out when they see people, and the reason they’re there is probably because the former residents have left some crumbs. So noone cleaned the apartment before us? Are we supposed to live with mice for a week? What???!!! Noone should stay here. Horrible!

Member of staff stole item from our room
Pros:

My wife and daughter stayed. After the visit I had a message from them saying a pillow and its pillow case had gone missing. Without any contact I have been charged for it. Having spoken to my wife she confirmed there was only one pillow on one side of the bed on arrival but didn’t think anything of it. Btw, there is no list detailing what should be in the room. So my wife and daughter have been convicted of theft by the accommodation without having the chance to discuss. Let’s face it they could turn around and say a whole load of things have gone missing and I would have no recourse as they will deduct from the advance deposit made. Their actions are nothing short of disgusting and I will be reporting the hotel to the police as during my stay something has allegedly been stolen, probably by one of their members of staff!!
I can see other reviews of this place where people have been accused of damage and other things gone missing and money taken off them. Do not go anywhere near this place unless you want your money stolen from you

Nell Gwynn House has faded away along with her luxury apartments.
Pros:

Time has not been kind to this marvelous art deco building located on Sloane Ave, Chelsea, not far from Kings Road. They advertise “luxurious” apartments and while there may be some, ours and three others I viewed, were far from luxury. We initially booked a studio but what you see is not necessarily what you get. Once we arrived we were able to upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. I was kindly given my choice and shown 3 other apartments on the first, third and fourth floor.

Cleanliness, or the lack thereof is definitely an issue. I normally give both hotel rooms and apartments a quick wipe down with bacterial wipes when we arrive, regardless of the accommodations ratings. However, I was shocked as to how much dirt came up with the wipes.

The apartment has the basics but nothing that makes it luxurious. No coffee pot but there was a kettle and a French press. Absolutely no space in cabinets to put any purchased foods or kitchen necessities. No laundry detergent was provided but a small bottle of dishwashing liquid, some pods for the dishwasher, one kitchen towel and a very small sponge. Two rolls of toilet paper are provided at the beginning of your stay.

The glaring anti-luxurious amenities include broken window panes, stained carpet, stained upholstery on both couch and chair. The couch is terribly uncomfortable, like sitting on a rock. The lighting is recessed in the ceiling only and there’s a bulb out in both the living area and the bedroom. The bedroom does have two sconces on either side of the bed which adds some ambience which is missing in the rest of the apartment. However, only one night table with two drawers for one side of the bed, all other clothes can either be hung up or stay in your suitcase. There’s a worn throw at the foot of the bed that needs a good laundering. There’s a washer that looks like it’s been taped into its storage closet but it works. There are no instructions anywhere for the washer so we had to look up the manual online. We had a rough idea how it worked but there were a few things we needed clarification on. There is a microwave but I’m 5’4 and it’s too high to safely let me take anything out of it that’s been heated. There are no basics such as sugar, salt and pepper or tea. There was supposed to be a welcome basket of these things but we never received them.

The bathroom you enter at your own peril. There is both a bath and an overhead shower but climbing in to either is a challenge in both maneuvering and balance. The toilet sits so close to the tub and the glass partition that it makes it difficult to safely enter the tub or shower. The glass partition opens about 8 inches before it hits the pedestal sink. You get two bath towels and my hand towels for two people for 7 days. There is a towel warmer which you can hang your towels on but not another single hook or towel rack anywhere in the bathroom and limited places to place any toiletries. There is plenty of room for hooks either on the door, to the left of the toilet, behind the toilet and to the left of the mirror. A lost opportunity to make something better. There is a window in the bathroom, original to the building I believe (which was 1936) but you have to step into the tub to open or close it and it takes a bit of strength. This is not an apartment for anyone that may have even slight mobility or balance issues.

I don’t know if the flat has been painted recently but whoever did it did a poor job. There is paint everywhere from the door handles to the front of the oven. And many areas could use a 2nd coat. There is really no place to store your luggage on the provided luggage rack except in the living room. If you have a small case you might be able to place it inside the closet.

The heat works great but we didn’t need it. The temps were in the 50’s but we needed the fan, which thank goodness they have. If we could leave the windows open that would help but the neighbors are noisy until the early hours of the morning and they were so loud you would think they were in the same room with you. The neighbors on the other side were constantly telling them to ”shut up” or “shut their window” but their pleas were ignored.

There is an iron, don’t know if it works yet. A decent hair dryer but a mirror a little closer to an outlet would help with drying or styling your hair. The bathroom door squeaks something fierce, except two or three odd occasions during the day but I no idea why. I’ve asked to have it oiled but after 7 days, still squeaking. There is a TV that you can use your own Netflix or Amazon prime on.

Not luxurious to say the least. It’s run down, tired and needs some TLC. It needs better lighting, more comfortable furniture (which looks like a mish mash from a car boot sale or flea market) some simple instructions for the fast wash on the washer, some hooks to hang coats, shopping bags, towels, an extra garbage liner and cleaning and towel replacements every 4 days. More hangars since there’s no place to store clothes. Someone with a little creativity could make this into a really nice place. That someone hasn’t come along yet.

Most of the desk staff is great. Easy to have packages received. They can call you a taxi quickly and that’s always appreciated.

Pros:

!!Stay clear of MICHELLE and MARIA Worst customer service in my life!!

MICHELLE was a severely unhelpful, untrustworthy and nasty piece of work.

MARIA was condescending, self centred and unbelievably passive aggressive in her emails.

You go to these people to seek help as the paying customer but are met with 2 of the worst pieces of service you could find, it’s laughable people like this get into these positions.

Stayed over a weekend to enjoy London and stayed in a very average room for the price.
They STOLE £83 from us, I deposited £500 and took pictures of the entire room. Upon leaving they said I would have my money returned. We had to get in touch with them to enquire about it and to our shock they have claimed we broken the smallest corner of their outdated and cheap fridge. They then sent an invoice of £83 for parts that weren’t even broken and provided 0 evidence to back it up, a little fishy isn’t it. We are a young couple and they took severe advantage of us. At this point it’s not about the money it’s just the morales and these people have been clearly raised without them. Wherever we go we want to enjoy ourselves and take pride in looking after our accommodation as we know how hard some service workers have it, but this place deserved nothing of the such. Entered the bed and to my disgust there were brown splatters on the bed, god only knows what it could have been and I had to sleep on it for a night. Zero apologies and no remorse for what ever I could have contracted. No air con lead to a very stuffy and uncomfortable room with flimbsy windows you are afraid to touch in case they try and take more money from you! Grumpy and lazy receptionists who were reluctant to help or make conversation.

They wished us well and hoped we’d return after constant unhelpful back and forth trying to justify their actions and their blatant lies. I couldn’t not recommend this place any more and I hope anyone who reads this changes their mind on staying.

(Left some attached photos of the state of the room, the bedsheets I slept in and the tragic damage that was done to the poor little shelf )

For the price in this location, the apartment offered good value. I wish I could give it five stars but the bed was too uncomfortable.

Pros:

The property is located in a fantastic area close to local ammenities and museums. The apartment itself was spotless and well presented upon checking in, however some concerns we noticed was that a blind that wasn’t working - it took about 5 minutes to manage to get it drawn. Some of the outlets appeared loose and wouldnt hold the plugs in which we believed to be an electrical hazard. The information desk for the apartments were closed over the weekend and we didn’t know who to contact during this time for any concerns. Overall, the apartments stay was okay with an affordable price for the area of London we stayed in.

Pros:

The 2nd round for my London trip within this month. Thanks goodness they did not give us the same dirty room before, this one RM 70, downstairs again, no window, small but much much better than our last room. Much cleaner (at least) up to the avg. Standard. This round, concierge staff much friendly and helpful. I guess Room is not good (in the basement, if you have luggages, it might be difficult, no one will help you), but apartments might be better.

Terrible, don’t stay here, don’t ruin your stay
Pros:

red the room we noticed that the bathroom had urine stains. We went to the front desk right away, but the guys there told us that they couldn’t help us, because the office that manages these “pod rooms” was closed until Monday. There was no option to change rooms, there was no cleaning staff on site, and there were even no cleaning tools to do it ourselves. Since it was late at night, we were forced to spend the night there, but early the next morning we left and told the front desk that we needed to ask for a refund, because the place didn’t meet the minimum terms and conditions. We were told that we had to come back on Monday morning, when the office would be open. So I did, but when I arrived the manager was not in the office, and I spoke to a person there named Anna Wylde, she told me that I had to speak to the manager, because she couldn't do anything, but I couldn't wait too long because I had a flight soon. Finally, she told me to send an email explaining the situation, and of course they never responded. In the meantime, I filed a complaint to Hotels.com, they told me that they called the manager several times, but he refused to give me any solution or refund. I lost a lot of money because of this situation, so my advice is NOT to stay here, there are many better options near this place for the same price.

Pros:

1)when we arrived, the concierge staff did not greet us, just lean back and did not say a word, until we told him we wanted to check in. Rather unprofessional?
2) when we got to our room (rm64 at the basement!!! Did not expect this?), the bathroom has big issue:
The shower curtain was mouldy and dirty.
The drainage was blocked, all the floor was wet and water near to drain to the bedroom. No shower cabinet, no barrier stopping water coming out as the floor is flat - weird design/layout issue.
The toilet flap very loose, need fixing.
(I can provide photos if needed)
The room - old, carpet old & dirty.
Lighting - insufficient, dim.

Very disappointed on this accommodation! I still have a 2nd booking next week, don't know how I could stand it. For sure the first and will be my last.

Bad , bad and bad.....!

Terible experience, stay away
Pros:

The pods are located at -1 floor. The windows are facing few cms away from the main road that you feel the cars at your room in the morning. The room was smelly and the bathroom has nowhere to get air. There is no heating but an old aircon and electric radiator. We had to keep to window open to get air and get away from the odor but the car exhaust were few cm away from us. The cleaning is once a week we have been told. It took 2 days to get fresh towel and there were no resreshment for coffee, shampoo nor soap. Stay away. It is litery a lower ground room in a dated apartment.

Some negative aspects, but overall positive
Pros:

The overall experience was good. The position of the structure is excellent (zone 1) and relatively close to two tube stations and at walking distance from Victoria Station and Westminster. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful, and the room small, but comfortable. The negative aspects relate to the room being located in the basement, with a small window on top, and to the extremely small bathroom. Furthermore, the water was activated by some kind of motor making a terrible noise, which made the use of the loo at night impossible. Also the air conditioning unit would require some work, as it was very old and noisy. Not too bad for the price, though.

Pros:

Apartment hotel was just ok … room was dated … kitchenette was not stocked … simple things like tissues, paper towels, laundry soap were not provided … room was next to elementary school and playground … young children screaming and shrieking during outdoor play was very unpleasant … kitchen hot water need an overhaul due to dank swampy unpleasant smell in the kitchen.
