Had an awesome experience at the hotel! The food was delicious, and the cuisine was truly tasty and well prepared. The ambiance was beautiful, relaxing, and added to the overall wonderful experience. The staff members were extremely cordial, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Overall, a fantastic stay with great hospitality, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!
I would like to mention about gym trainer @Snehasish who helped me to recover from my long pending shoulder pain.

It is an excellent property spreading the truth meaning of The city of Joy. It is a corporate case study of how the staff can make a brand shine..i stay only in the marriot chain since years and this property outshines over others due to the courteous of the staff. Professional; pleasant ; caring for each detail and always ready with a smile. They make you feel home. I usually travel a lot between Europe ; mumbai ; Delhi and Kolkata. As they say in Bengali..Tillotoma Jw property in Kolkata.. special mention to Sadia; Mome Mondal; Ayush; Megha; Ayesha at Room Dining and everyone else who made my stay special with their hospitality and smile. Wish all were alike Jw Kolkata.

From the moment we arrived, every staff member was welcoming, helpful, supportive, and incredibly informative. They went out of their way to give us recommendations on places to visit around Kolkata, which made our trip even more enjoyable.

A very special thank you to Shreya, who helped create the most beautiful surprise birthday to my fiancé . She managed to organize everything completely in secret, making sure my fiancé had no idea what was happening. Her attention to detail and dedication made the surprise unforgettable, and we’re so grateful for everything she did.

Another huge shout-out goes to Payel and the breakfast team. Payel was so warm, interactive, and genuinely caring. She even got the entire team together to sing “Happy Birthday” to my fiancé and surprised us with another delicious birthday cake. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the celebration even more special.

The hospitality, kindness, and genuine care shown by everyone at the hotel exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making our proposal and birthday celebration so memorable. We will cherish these memories forever and look forward to returning in the future!

After a long journey from Washington, D.C. to Kolkata, my flight was delayed, and I barely made my connection in Doha. Unfortunately, my luggage did not make it to Kolkata with me. I arrived at the JW Marriott Kolkata around 4:00 a.m., exhausted and without any of my belongings.

When I checked in, Megha at the front desk informed me that, because I had booked at the last minute, the only room available was a smoking room. I explained that I could not stay in a smoking room, and without hesitation, she asked me to give her five minutes so she could see what she could do. True to her word, within minutes she found me a non-smoking room. I was already impressed by her kindness and willingness to help.

While I was checking in, I mentioned that I had no change of clothes because my luggage had been delayed. I also asked if there was any way to have my clothes laundered which I am wearing that time as quickly as possible so I have a washed cloth to wear next day ,Despite it being 4:00 a.m., the team immediately assured me that someone would come to my room within 15 minutes to collect my clothes for express laundry service. I was genuinely amazed by their level of service.

Then, just when I thought they had already gone above and beyond, I received a call from Megha. Anushka, who had been standing next to her during my check-in, had heard about my situation. She found a brand-new set of sportswear that the hotel had available and wanted to send it to my room so I would have something to wear while my clothes were being washed. A short while later, Anushka personally delivered the outfit to my room.

I was truly speechless. Their thoughtfulness, compassion, and genuine desire to help turned what had been an incredibly stressful travel experience into one I will never forget.

My husband, who has been a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member for many years, and I have stayed at countless Marriott properties around the world. We have consistently received excellent service, but we have never experienced such an extraordinary act of kindness and care.

I sincerely hope Marriott management recognizes Megha and Anushka for their outstanding service. They went far beyond their job responsibilities, and they are exactly the kind of associates who embody the very best of Marriott hospitality. JW Marriott Kolkata is incredibly fortunate to have them on its team.
