Position ideal, places to visit ideal and very well situated. Spot on.
Pros:

The windows had been left open so that when we arrived the rooms were comfortable. The staff were both pleasant and helpful. The short trip fully met our hopes; even the temperature was more bearable than the London we had left!

Comfortable and Convenient
Pros:

Loved the location which was close to Portsmouth Harbour train station and the historic dockyard, with lovely views across the harbour and HMS Warrior.

The cooked breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food and everything cooked to order.

The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Cons:

There wasn't anything I didn't like. If I really wanted to be picky I could mention that my room was hot, but you can't blame the hotel for the high temperatures the UK was experiencing at the time I stayed! The age of the hotel means that there is no air conditioning, fans were provided and these helped.

Recommend this hotel for a post ferry crossing stay. Perfect for an ongoing journey and well placed for a longer stay. T

Pros:

Perfecte locatie aan het water voor bezoek van de HMS Warrior, Victory en Mary Rose. Ontbijt was prima mits je niet te vroeg komt want dan is er nog geen personeel wat eieren maakt en is er alleen continental breakfast. Parkeren op eigen terrein achter het hotel.

Een laadpaal was mooi geweest

Pros:

In quiet location despite being near to bus and rail stations. Perfect for visiting Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, which is why we chose it. Wonderful views over Harbour.

Cons:

Looks a little ‘tired’ on outside but internally clean and quirky.

Cons:

If I had to constuctively criticise one thing, it would be the window frames. They're in need of a bit of a refurb. Understandable for an old building, which is probably a nightmare to keep dry in the winter!
