Great stay
Pros:

Great location for the docks and museums! Very clean and friendly staff.

OK für eine Nacht, Lage des Hauses sehr günstig um zum Fährhafen zu kommen
Pros:

Frühstück war gut, alles sehr ordentlich und freundlicher Service. Es war kein Problem extrem früh ein Frühstück zu bekommen.

Cons:

Die Atmosphäre des Hotels war ein wenig gespenstisch. Die Mitarbeiter haben fast nichts miteinander gesprochen. Trotzdem war der freundliche Rezeptionist hilfsbereit.

Great location and lovely
Pros:

an absolute pleasure
Pros:

Location for train travellers ideal, only 300 m from Portsmouth train station and the pedestrian mall.
Rooms were extremely well appointed private WC, and shower 5 star.
Staff David and Jeremy extremely helpfull and obliging
Breakfast more than to be expected first class.
We'll stay again any time, highly recommended

A great hotel in an excellent location
Pros:

First and foremost, the staff were excellent. Attentive, without being overbearing, and nothing was too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was hearty and delicious, with a good selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit juice also available. My only suggestion would be the addition of honey and berries, which would be a lovely option for making a granola and yoghurt combination. The room was sea-facing, a good size, with an en-suite shower. Tea and coffee were available to make in the room, and sachets were replenished each day. The towels were also changed each day. The room was very clean, and the bed was made up each morning. The hotel's location was ideal, with the naval docks, museums, shopping, the Spinnaker Tower and a good selection of eateries all within a short walking distance.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend the hotel.

Cons:

Overall, we were delighted with the hotel and its facilities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, although we felt the pillows could do with being replaced. This was only a minor observation and certainly did not detract from our enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel, ideally situated for the historic dockyard and the Gunwharf quay’s shopping centre. We loved the room over looking HMS warrior.

Comfortable stay, great location!
Pros:

We had a lovely room with a great view of The Hard, including the Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior. Our bed was really comfy. Breakfast was superb! Great to be able to park at the back of the hotel too. A very comfortable stay, we'll definitely return.

The stay was disappointing. I am an overseas visitor needing quality sleep after a long flight. Sleep not had.
Pros:

Proximity to attractions.

Cons:

The second floor room faced a busy intersection. For this reason, the window facing the street was fitted with a second set of sliding windows over the old set of double-hung windows. With both sets closed, noise was minimised. However, the room had no cooling by fan or ac. So, impossible to sleep with windows closed, or open due to street noise.
Secondly, no fridge in the room. The hotel doesn’t offer room service so self catering required. But no way to keep it cool.

Cons:

Due to no air-conditioning, we did have a fan, It was very noisy when having to have the window opened so it wasn't stuffy.
