comfort and high quality.
Pros:

Very comfortable hotel in very pleasant surroundings. Rooms well and tastefully furnished and maintained to a high standard. The public areas are equally splendid and reflect a slower pace of life reminiscent of an earlier time. The 'squadron' bar is superb.

Cons:

Access through the woods to the Kinema would be a useful feature but fully understand why this is not possible. Resurrection of the swimming pool to a functional facility would, am sure, be a serious attraction but may alter the character of the hotel.

Dambusters hotel
Pros:

Very nice hotel, lots of history behind it, very good and large gardens

Cons:

On Friday evening we were kept awake until 03:00 am due to very loud guests attending a prom party- complained to be met with "sorry about that" from reception.

Will go again.
Pros:

Staff and location were great. Hotel appearance and the lovely grounds were marvellous. The historical aspect of the place (WW11), Dambusters etc made it very interesting.
Food was good if a bit chaotic at breakfast.
Served real ale, a big bonus.

Cons:

We had a standard room and it was fine although a little dated and faded.

A absolutely beautiful Hotel in the most tranquil setting and the rooms were very large. It is in a very good location f
Pros:

I booked this hotel for a quiet and romantic few days to celebrate our Anniversary and I am glad that I did. It is in such a lovely peaceful location with all the refineries of an old war hospital with plenty of old memorabilia of its days serving the old injured war personnel. The change into a really lovely hotel in its location couldn’t have been any better. The grounds are well maintained and offer some beautiful walks and views and the local village is just a short walk away. The hotel is steeped in history and we will definitely revisit the place again when in that area.

Cons:

To be honest there is not a lot you could say about not liking something but I do think they can improve on their WiFi connections as reception was very poor in some main areas, and my only other small moan is on our first day breakfast meal we weren’t informed about where and how to order things and it was only by watching other guests we were able to work out how we collected our food but still had to ask for our Coffee and Toast as no one came to us to serve us. ( but this was improved on our 2nd morning).

Pros:

The place was absolutely beautiful and picturesque the breakfast both me and my other half said was probably one of the best we've had in our life and it was absolutely lovely stay

Cons:

The only complaint we've got there was a gentleman when we came in just before 11:00 that was working behind the bar with a cross earring who seemed to seriously have a chip on his shoulder and told us at 10:00 to we were not allowed any more drinks and that was it and kind of bullied the other lad that he was with to say no so we went to reception and spoke to the night porter just asking what time it shut because they seem quite harassed and the night porter and other gentleman were lovely and we got one more drink before we left so we could sit outside in the beautiful ground so we were unsure what the gentleman with the cross earrings problem was that is our only vice out of our all of our trip apart from that it was absolutely fantastic and will be partaking again with only being a short trip away from skegness where we're from 💯

Pros:

Beautiful building , staff were fabulous

Cons:

Felt sorry for the staff , they need more of them they ws pushed to limit . Breakfast was a disaster, had to wait over half hour for them to cook more sausage, and eggs . They need to dust the window sills in restaurant, thick with dust. Evening meal the sirloin steaks was very fatty , they replaced it with glass of wine ? .
