Recently updated rooms are more comfortable than last stay
It would be nice if they upgraded walkway down into the harbor
The property is in a beautiful location near the harbor and bridge, and I have enjoyed staying here in the past. The grounds are attractive, and the location is one of the best features of the property.
Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing due to the check-in experience and customer service. I arrived with a confirmed prepaid reservation, but upon arrival I was informed that my reservation could not be located despite having a confirmation number and payment already processed. There was initially no staff available, and both I and the booking service had difficulty reaching anyone to resolve the issue.
After eventually locating an employee, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. Throughout much of the check-in process, I felt as though I was being questioned rather than assisted. The overall tone of the interaction left me feeling unwelcome as a guest.
Toward the end of the conversation, however, the employee’s demeanor seemed to improve. He asked about my room preferences and gave me the impression that he was attempting to accommodate my reservation. I genuinely appreciated this and believed the situation was finally being resolved. Because of that, I was surprised to later discover that I had been assigned Unit 336, which was listed on my receipt as a “No View” room and directly overlooked the adjacent gas station rather than the harbor. The room was a significant downgrade from the suite I had originally booked.
Had I simply been told that the room type I reserved was unavailable, I would have understood. Instead, after believing the situation was being resolved, the outcome felt confusing and disappointing. I was also surprised by an additional charge for a second guest that was not clearly communicated in advance. By the time I reached my room, I was exhausted from the reservation issues and uncomfortable enough with the interaction that I did not feel comfortable raising additional concerns. What disappointed me most was not the room itself, but the overall lack of professionalism, communication, and hospitality throughout the experience.
Convenient, just off the highway, clean, comfy beds, super nice and helpful staff.
Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great.
Relaxing spot to sit on the balcony. Friendly staff, clean room, & comfortable beds. Nice restaurant nearby with a lovely sunset view at dinner.
Room was adequate, clean and comfortable.
Walls and ceiling were very thin so footsteps of upstairs occupants sounded like elephants and I could hear voices in adjoining room and hallway.
