Dear Booking.com Customer Service,

I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding my reservation at Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur, confirmation number 5353891376.

The condition of the room upon my arrival was completely unacceptable and did not meet a reasonable standard of cleanliness or hygiene.

As soon as I entered the room, I immediately noticed a very unpleasant and strong smell. The room was clearly not properly cleaned, and the bed was covered with hair. Furthermore, I found a used toothbrush belonging to a previous guest in the bathroom, which is particularly concerning from a hygiene perspective.

The condition of the room was so unacceptable that I could not stay for even 10 minutes. I had no choice but to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodation at my own expense.

I was travelling with my mother, and given her age, I could not reasonably ask her to stay in such conditions. This situation caused us significant inconvenience, stress, and additional expense during our trip.

I therefore request:

1. A full refund of the amount paid for this reservation.
2. Compensation for the inconvenience and additional costs caused by having to leave the hotel and arrange alternative accommodation at short notice.
3. A proper investigation into the condition of the room and whether the hotel was meeting the cleanliness and hygiene standards expected from a property listed on Booking.com.

I am prepared to provide photographs, videos, receipts for the alternative hotel, and any other evidence required to support my complaint.

I would appreciate Booking.com's urgent assistance in resolving this matter fairly. I believe that charging me for a room that was in such an unacceptable condition, and which I was unable to use, would be unreasonable.

Please confirm receipt of my complaint and let me know the next steps regarding my refund and compensation request.

The location was superb, as everything was so close from here. Also, hotel amenities were excellent

Cons:

A variety of items in breakfast should be increased.. And , along with South Indian foods, regular food items can be a game changer

3 nights pleasant stay here
Pros:

I had a 3 nights pleasant stay here. A hotel located right in town. Easy access for foods as well convenient stores. Also convenient to get Public transport such as train OR e-hailing.

Thank you for the slices fresh fruits on my first day.
