Room was large, enjoyed that it was separate rooms for kids and adults.
The staff were very friendly and nice.
Room was next to a nightclub, which was my fault for not checking. So we were up till 2am.
Room was quite dated and dirty, but bedding was clean!
No AC and fan was broken, so it was a hot night.
Breakfast was spot on.
Restaurant was closed in the evening and pub over the road which does food is closed Mon - Weds. The only other place which does pub grub in walking distance is the Bell Hotel / Golf club which was good nosh but a bit trumpy.
Great location, friendly staff and good breakfast.
All good
Firstly, thanks to Dave for sorting our room request. Didn't get to meet to say thanks personally, but we were very grateful. Room was lovely with beams and four poster. Clean, tidy, and with a thoughtful fan included. Loads of storage and good lighting. Staff lovely. Breakfast well cooked and plentiful. Location great for our cycles and river paddles.
All good. It's rare not to have something that niggles but honestly, everything was lovely.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. We were directed to a free overnight car park just around the corner which was very helpful
The pub was closed for food although we were told we could take in a takeaway and they would provide plates/cutlery etc, which was nice. But we went to a local restaurant instead
They let us check in earlier than 2pm. They stored out bags for us after we checked out until we came back to collect them. The staff were very helpful. The room size is good for 2 people. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large in size. The breakfast was good.
We stayed on Saturday night and the venue next door was playing loud music until late which we could hear when we slept. The noise from the street was also loud after the guests left the parties next door and the pub opposite which meant you could hear people shouting throughout the night. The music from the pub downstairs could also be heard if you were on the first floor. However, we couldn't hear it on the second floor.
The staff is super sweet. Breakfast was amazing 10/10.
Room was clean, same as the bathroom. There was a ventilator in the room for the heat.
Sad to stay only 1 night.
No outlet at the bed
The bed was comfortable, the bath fantastic and the breakfast very good. Great location and value for money
Staff were lovely. They were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
As there is no restaurant, we were encouraged to get a takeaway and bring it into the hotel to eat.
No parking at the hotel. We had to leave the car in a public car park after transferring our luggage across the road.
No restaurant in the hotel and nowhere to get an evening meal in the town when we arrived.
Buses stopped outside the hotel and under our window. This was noisy from early in the morning
Horrible hotel
Listed as room with balcony and view. It had neither.
Dirty, old, poorly maintained.
Owner is incredibly rude and unhelpful.
I was denied use of the listed facilities because I had a child with me and my child was not allowed on the only communal space after 7pm. They never bothered to inform me of this prior to booking or even on arrival. Also let me pay for a drink before telling me I had to sit in my horrible room to actually drink it.
Spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable room.
Good breakfast.
Good location, very friendly staff.
Nearest overnight parking is 100 metres away, but it is free!
All the basics and breakfast were good.
It was "down at heel" and minor maintenance was lacking - creaking doors, burned out bulbs not replaced, some TV Channels not working and some wallpaper coming off the ceiling in the breakfast room.
Very clean and tidy
Very old fashion
Loved the room it was so nice with a 4 poster bed and the kids had a room as well with 2 beds. They even left a bottle of prosecco for my birthday. The breakfast was really nice and Paula was so lovely. The bar was nice and everyone was so friendly and the locals. Would go back again definitely. 😊😊
Nothing
Good location, straight forward booking in process, large bedroom and quality shower coupled to easy car parking.
All good.
Great Staff
