Everything!! The staff was so nice and gave me all kinds of information. The room was clean and they had great breakfast
Nothing I didn’t like
The staff are phenomenal. Veronica and Roxie are super sweet and accommodating. The housekeepers were friendly and welcoming with every interaction. Decent view of the ocean, with some trees obscuring the distant views, convenient to the boardwalk. I chose it because it’s so close to the pier and it’s non touristy. The downfall is there’s not many restaurants or shopping, and no one but Polly’s has flavored ice coffee on that side. Code needed for entry, which enhances security. Easterly’s breakfast is fantastic!
I hate to have to write anything negative but I think people need to be prepared. I, nor my friend were in any of the updated rooms pictured on the website and for $700 each for 3 nights x 2 rooms is by far, overpriced. Tile flooring was cracked in multiple places including the shower, mold on ceiling from water leak above shower pipes, bathroom door had dirty handprints all over it, and toilet stained. Friends room had no hot water for shower, dirt and sand in floor corners, old uncomfortable, small, chairs on balcony where it’s too hot to even sit because of the air conditioner exhaust. Very outdated.
The location and staff were great. We really like the fact that we had a fully stocked kitchen. You can easily walk to some good restaurants and beaches.
The air conditioner leaked. After a night they upgraded us to their best room.
Great customer service, especially by Liz.
Bathroom was small but had all the amenities. No daily refresh service of towels.
The location is great: right on the water, with wonderful views and sunsets. The outdoor area is expansive and aesthetically appealing and inviting with the bar/restaurant, and pool and hot tub, and it's nicely landscaped. The exterior of the hotel looks good, maybe recently painted, and our rooms were nicely appointed. There were restaurants and beaches within walking distance.
I love that the Fred is pet friendly.
We stayed in two different rooms. The first one had an odd odor. The staff tried to correct the problem with an ozonator machine and dehumidifier, but it made only a small difference. The second room we stayed in was quite nice, with no odor, but the mattress sagged - a LOT, and the light next to the bed didn't work.
The pool has yellow algae. I also didn't appreciate the continuous music throughout the day, but that's very subjective.
Roomy, super comfortable room near everything you want and need in Frederiksted!
Our flight was cancelled and we needed last minute accommodation - this hotel saved us! We enjoyed our stay. It has a great location on the water, staff are very helpful, and overall a good value. We had an ocean facing terrace that was very nice in the morning with coffee. Good breakfast as well.
The building is very old. They’ve done a good job with the furnishings but the age shows, particularly in the bathrooms. We found it charming - the hotel, like much Frederiksted, has a laid back, bohemian vibe… you need to embrace it!
The location was across the street from the ocean and within walking distance to our interests. The staff was very nice. The breakfast restaurant in the courtyard was very convenient and has a great reputation. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and we loved the patio with an ocean view.
Parking is a small issue.
everything was perfect!
there was nothing to not like !
BREAKFAST
NO ELEVATOR
Traditional island breakfast in the town of Frederiksted near the waterfront. Doesn’t get any better. Views of the waterfront from my room was very relaxing.
Using the television could have been a bit more simplified. I don’t have subscriptions to those different channels. Just wanted to watch some old fashioned Tv.
The staff is amazing and the facilities are pretty good.
The neighborhood is not the best. Christiansted has more options.
