Will always return
Pros:

Always stay here when we visit family

Cons:

Room 201. Sink in the bedroom and separate toilet with shower. Slightly awkward Rooms are extremely hot in the summer even with a fan in the room and the windows open it can be quite noisy whatever the position (either facing the high street or the garden area )

Lovely old hotel on high street right in the centre of the town.
Pros:

The Hotel is very old but works well with how the layout is inside. Clean and welcoming. Has a small car park lots of outdoor seating.

Cons:

Although a lovely old hotel the bedrooms need updating so the wash basin is in the bathroom. I know it’s an old property but I disliked having the basin in the bedroom and not in the toilet/shower room. Other than this it’s a lovely hotel.

Good food, but quality of rooms means I look for somewhere with more modern facilities in future.
Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff. Food was really good with an impressive breakfast.

Cons:

Room decor very old fashioned. Shower/loo smelled of drains. Basin in room. Temperature that day was exceptional, but the heat in the room was horribly oppressive even with the fan. Outside bar below window meant staff were talking until 2pm. I was booked for two nights, but checked out after one.

Never again !
Pros:

The location was suitable for our needs
The breakfast was ok

Cons:

Our room ( 105) was directly above an outside drinking area. The noise was deafening, I complained at 11.30pm and was told due to World Cup??bit no tv etc… Still going on at 12.45 am! £85 for a noisy , tired room ! Never again .

Oldy worldy place tuns of character and have been a few times as we like it.
Pros:

We had a good size room due to the age of property no air con but a good fan that helped as it was hot . It was clean and comfortable tv and tea facilities good . The staff were lovely and food was very good .

Cons:

Our vroom was overlooking beer garden which was a little noisy as we had to have the windows open as it was so hot due to weather. But it went quiet after the tap had closed . The loo wasn't the best of flushes . But we didn't say on any of these things as they were minor problems .

Pros:

The room very dated sink in bedroom instead of in bathroom, but I must say the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was 100%

Cons:

We were told when we book in that the bar was 24/7 for residents but the night porter after he served our second drink told us that this was our last drink because he was to busy because he had lots of other thinks to do. The whole hotel could do with a complete refurbishment as carpets very worn bedrooms with sinks outside bathroom.
