Great place to stay
Pros:

Lovely old fashioned family run hotel

Cons:

Wish they had showers in the rooms , water pressure is a bit low.

Wonderful staff, comfortable room, adorable market town location
Pros:

The bed was super comfortable. Every single member of staff from the front desk, to the bar, to the housekeepers were phenomenal. So kind and welcoming. I didn't get breakfast but I ordered dinner from the bar a few times and the food was very good. (Highly recommend the steak sandwich.) My stay was almost 3 weeks and I had no complaints whatsoever. Newport Pagnell was a very cute town with excellent walks nearby, especially with my dog, and it was a convenient location for several road trips. If I'm ever back in the area, I would DEFINITELY stay again

A great location in an historic Inn.
Pros:

Check in was efficient and the receptionist very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the service first rate. We really enjoyed exploring the town, especially the green spaces right off the high street. The old iron bridge was exceptional and the river walk delightful.

Cons:

The shower in the room was difficult. One of us only managed a cold shower. The next morning the shower was warm, but not hot. The heater in the room was electric and very dated. We were nervous about leaving it on! There is very limited parking at the hotel, and a public lot behind the hotel that was only good for an overnight stay.

Fantastisch! Engels / Historische ervaring
Pros:

Prachtig historisch pand, met een loungeroom en een pub in een leuk dorpje..Typisch engels.. Zeer gastvrij. Veel comfort. En het ontbijt is voortreffelijk. Zeer royaal. Alles naar wens persoonlijk voor je bereid. Veel waar voor je geld. Echt een aanrader.

Cons:

Soms iets lastiger parkeren i.v.m. drukte. Maar in de ongeving altijd plek. Bij grotere groepen met kinderen kan het iets luidruchtiger zijn en is het lopend buffet gedeelte snel op..met wat geduld vullen ze het snel bij.

Excellent staff
Pros:

The staff were exceptional, genuinely kind, and very attentive. The food was delicious and offered great value for money.

Cons:

My lower rating is due to the room: it was located in the loft, the floorboards clicked with every step, and the space felt quite tight. Overall, though, it was still a pleasant stay.

Lots of doors lots of stairs not clearly signed to get to your room. The furniture is very dark and old fashioned
