Pros:

Breakfast was varied and excellent. Super food. Evening dinner - wonderful. Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble.

The room was comfortable, clean and had a nice aspect over the beautiful gardens.
The dinner was exceptionally good, service was quick and the dining room was lovely, we were very impressed

Lovely break, location was spot on for us. Everything went well.
Pros:

Hotel was splendid, room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious & plenty of it. The staff were friendly & helpful.

It was our first stay at Hunters Moon hotel but it will not be our last
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The evening meal was superb and service was provided by the extremely pleasant staff

We weren't told before arrival that it was a card only hotel sadly we had been to bank and taken our spending money out not happy about that.

A gorgeous private hotel with great staff and service.
Pros:

Beautiful gardens, gorgeous historic building, an oasis of calm and tranquility for a mini break in August. And only a short walk along the Sid to the beach.

Pros:

Everything inc the chickens! Quiet but fairly central location. Access to quirky residential roads and thew cinema which might otherwise be overlooked. Caring and observant housekeeping staff

Cons:

A pool would be more than welcome and would elevate Hunters Moon to top hotel in Sidmouth given the lovely grounds that no other hotel has. I think we will also go for one of the ground floor rooms in the main house next time - I noticed one with French doors opening onto the grounds, must be very popular
