Worst experience ever
Pros:

Convenient grocery shopping 1km away

Cons:

My Comrades Marathon weekend was completely ruined by this accommodation.

The entrance and overall condition of the property were disappointing. The towels were old, dry, and worn out. We were only given one towel and were told that two adults would have to share it, which is unacceptable.

The property is advertised as self-catering, yet there were no plates, cutlery, or basic kitchen amenities available, making it impossible to prepare meals. The furniture was also in poor condition, with an old chair that had threads coming out.

The room was not soundproof at all. There was constant noise from people downstairs, making it very difficult to sleep and properly rest before and after the race.

I checked out at night and was never informed that keys needed to be left at reception when leaving the property for room cleaning. This lack of communication added to an already frustrating experience.

Overall, the accommodation made what should have been an enjoyable Comrades Marathon weekend very unpleasant. For a weekend as important as Comrades Marathon, comfort, rest, and basic amenities are essential.Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
