Good breakfast but the tea/coffee provision was very poor. Expect proper coffee or a teapot to make tea in, not a small cup with instant coffee or a tea bag.
The whole place was exceptionally clean ,the staff were all very polite and helpful. They showed great care with our special dietary requirements.
It was very easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit .
Would definitely return if in the area
Breakfast was good although would have liked fresh coffee
Spacious rooms and lively spacious bar and restaurant
No fresh coffee at breakfast, breakfast bar limited
It was a great stay and value for money
Bear in mind when you book you are staying in a pub so you might hear pub noises in pub times.
The room was great, large, well appointed and comfortable with an equally attractive, very clean ensuite. All the furnishings of a high grade quality
Not much of a view over looking a housing estate and a flat roof. The dining are we were directed was at a basement level with no phone signal (some might prefer this lol)
Good location, friendly staff, just what was needed. Thanks
The position facing so close to people’s houses was
We have stayed before because the location is good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean with everything you need, apart from bottled water which tends to be the norm in most hotels. The food is very good with an excellent choice on the menu. The young waiting/serving staff in the restaurant in the evening worked really hard and were very attentive to our needs, they paid particular attention to asking about allergies.
The only downside was at breakfast the poor waitress was run off her feet, could have done with having another member of staff on duty as too much for one person. The restaurant was quite busy and breakfast took a long time to arrive.
Our stay at The horse and Jockey was wonderful. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The accommodation was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. 10 out of 10.
Everything about the Horse & Jockey was spot on, we only had breakfast which was lovely, location was quiet but located well for what we went there for - Overall would highly recommend this property
There was nothing not to like
Friendly and professional staff with a lovely atmosphere. Excellent food with a sensible portion size. Well maintained grounds and property. Set in a beautiful location.
On the day we were there the breakfast took a little while to arrive.
Very good breakfast good value for money. Nice surroundings and pleasant staff
nothing
Very clean, good parking and restaurant and excellent value for money
Only small problem the room we stayed in was above the pub toilets and the hand dryer was very noisy but obviously stopped when the bar closed
Colazione ottima e abbondante. Personale cortese.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was lovely.
Hoped there'd be a lift for 2nd floor and would have liked an eggs benedict for breakfast.
