Great stay at Crowne Plaza HY36 - clean rooms, modern design, and a convenient Midtown location that made getting around NYC easy. Jess at the front desk was especially nice and helpful, check-in was smooth after a chaotic travel day (World Cup + Knicks parade). Overall, a comfortable and well-run hotel that I would happily return to.
Matthew, front desk manager, deserves top call out. His customer obsession is outstanding - and really helped to make the trip perfect! (Thanks for redirect after initial poor check in experience). Other top staff call outs include Jennifer, front desk, and Jose, bell man - incredible customer service and very helpful.
Great hotel, good location, fast wifi, clean rooms. Recommend.
My family of 5 loved our experience at the Crowne Plaza Midtown! The location is perfect! Great proximity to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and Broadway shows. The rooms are a great size in comparison to other NYC hotels. The staff is wonderful, kind and VERY accommodating… especially to children. The staff provided our children with special treats each day AND shared great restaurant recommendations. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Special shout out to Jose, Jennifer, Matt and Jay! Thank you for an amazing experience.
Scott and the team were fantastic. They made every effort to look after me and went the extra mile. I appreciate it. Thank you for the great stay.
Loved the high floor of our room, and the bed was quite nice. The staff was also very helpful returning a lost item.
Nothing really
My staycation experience at the Crown Plaza HY36 was special and delightful. All the workers at the hotel were so courteous and willing to help. The front desk workers Jay and Yoni were knowledgeable about the check in process and they were always willing to answer any questions we had and accommodating. Jay also spoke Korean so he was very helpful for my mom The hotel was not noisy even though I stayed the night the knicks won the nba finals. The elevators were quick and large to fit many people. The hotel is dog friendly and my dog had the best time. The beds were comfortable and the showers were clean and stylish and they had my favorite soap and shampoo (apotheke). The Burgerlogy restaurant downstairs was very good as well and their menu had good options. I will definitely come back here for my next staycation with my mom and puppy. Thank you to all the staff that made us feel welcomed and appreciated!
We had a great experience at this hotel! From checking in to restaurant recommendations the team was very helpful! The location was very central but still felt very safe. Andrew, Jennifer, and Edris were all very kind. Would definitely stay here again.
Clean room, quiet, and the location to the subway was good.
The restaurant is excellent. Excellent staff , clean and great food. It's worth the price of the meal.
It was expensive . Wish it offered a free breakfast for the price.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience during our stay. Our man, Andrew, went above and beyond to make sure we settled into our. 26th floor suite had a great view, and even though the Knick’s won the NBA championship, we couldn’t hear a thing while we slept. We were also close walking distance to Time Square, MSG, Rockefeller Center, and tons of great restaurants and coffee shops. 5 stars, and we WILL be back!
Great location and staff. Really enjoyed my stay here. Accessible to times square and broadway area. Sub station nearby. The staff is extremely polite, cheerful and helpful.
Fabulous front desk personnel, jauls, edris, Matt manager and Jose were highly responsive and aimed to please.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This hotel was truly a hidden gem. In a city as busy and energetic as Manhattan, it felt like a peaceful escape. The area was quiet, and I never heard any noise, yet I was only about five minutes away from everything I wanted to see and do.
What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly polite, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Every time I left to explore the city and returned, I was greeted warmly. It made me feel safe knowing they were attentive to who was coming in and out of the hotel.
The cleanliness was exceptional, and the room exceeded my expectations. The bathroom, in particular, was much larger and nicer than what you typically find in Manhattan hotels. Considering the price, the value was outstanding.
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet, and well-located place to stay in Manhattan.
Clean rooms, great amenities, and absolutely world-class hospitality. Special shoutout to Juls, Kenny, Jess, and Jenn for taking such amazing care of us during our stay. Their customer service is top-notch, and they made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!
This is a great find in midtown Manhattan. Every part of the hotel is beautifully designed and immaculately clean. It was amazing to see a hotel with such high traffic in such beautiful condition. Typically you see a bit of wear and tear, but not here. And the staff is excellent. We were first greeted by Jennifer with a glass of bubbly that made us feel very special. She is amazing at her job – so warm and you feel she genuinely cares about making your stay as comfortable as possible. We also loved Jose, Matt and Juls. Thanks for a terrific stay!
Front desk was very welcoming and helped get me ready for my business meeting by printing a large scale amount of copies in a quick period of time
Close to city center and very safe
Location and Cleanliness
I'll lead with the main reason I stayed here: easy elevator access. I wanted to avoid the common Manhattan experience of skyscraper hotels with only two elevators serving dozens of floors, causing lengthy waits for every elevator call. And I can confirm that this hotel was an elevator dream, nothing beyond the most standard wait times, coming and going couldn't have been easier. Overall this feels like a unicorn hotel for Manhattan: a mid-range comfortable spot with great, attentive front desk service and rooms that feel comparable with any suburban Crowne Plaza in terms of spaciousness, despite being only blocks away from Times Square. We stayed in a standard two-bed suite on the 20th floor and it was totally peaceful. Would absolutely stay here again.
Check and staff are really well done. They are well trained they care about what they do. I felt right at home.
Rooms are small, it isn’t their fault, but this is a terrible location in the city. Nothing but pot smoke, vagrant, traffic outside the hotel. It isn’t called Hells kitchen for no reason…
We had a great stay! Room was ready for us well in advance of check-in time which we really appreciated after an early morning flight. Hotel and our room was very clean, nice, quiet, and we felt very safe. All the employees were very pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
