Didn't have breakfast ,.when I booked I thought continental breakfast was included. However this was not the case. Thought the price was high with that in mind .
Booked a twin room , was given a large double instead.
Very noisy, and woken at 5am by refuse collection taking place under the bedroom window.
We thought breakfast was included, because of Booking.com's presentation.
The staff are very friendly
The whole experience was excellent.
The room was very hot, no window to open only patio doors. There was a fan in the room but it really didn’t help.
Lovely room & bathroom. Very effective aircon which was much needed. Lovely evening meal both nights.
Everything!
Charming bedroom with air- conditioning unit which was hugely appreciated.
Soft, fluffy towels in the bathroom.
Tasty breakfasts.
Pleasant, helpful staff.
Nothing to dislike.
Great accommodation and really friendly and accommodating staff.
The room decor was very much in keeping with the overall look and feel, fab.
Lovely touch to have the welcome goodies in the room.
On-site car parking a bonus.
We had a meal of fish and chips, served with homemade tartare sauce and minted smashed peas - on the recommendation of the front of house manager - which was yummy scrummy.
The only downside was the fact that there was no air conditioning; there was a small mobile unit in the room but it really was working very hard to try and get the extraordinary temperature in the room down :(
This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are all done so beautifully and seem newly decorated (not sure if they are) but they are very cosy and inviting. Our room was a good size, nice bathroom, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities etc and sweet treats for us on arrival - lovely touch. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious - I can recommend the duck. Breakfast was also excellent: not a buffet - it was off the menu - but delicious and plenty of choices. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The bar area is lovely and there was live music one night. Cocktails are very good! Air conditioner unit in our room was a Godsend (but there wasn't one in the single room my mother booked as it wasn't the right configuration to get the pipe out of the window - she had a fan). The rooms are all done so beautifully.
Air conditioner in the small room would have been good as it was very hot in there. It's worth checking when you book. But otherwise - can't fault it.
From the moment you checked in, the staff were friendly and informative. We had a dog with us, and there was Treats' bed and a drinking dish in the room.
We had dinner there again in the evening, and the staff went through the menu in detail for any dish we asked about.
The property managed to upgrade my parents to a super comfy room for just a little extra charge and when I spoke with the staff about my mother and her accessibility issues they were great to accommodate! Had a lovely walk in shower which really helped her.
Not much!
