A convenient and well located stay
Pros:

Excellent location near the train station, bus station, beach, and Lidl.

Cons:

Very squeaky floors, with noticeable noise from people walking around.

Good, clean hotel and good value for money
Pros:

Breakfast - very friendly and helpful staff on the first two days.
She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable.
Room - clean and comfortable.
Dinner - the bar was nice and the food was good
Reception - also very friendly and welcoming.
Parking - enough space and nice and close to the hotel

Cons:

Room - the window was broken when we arrived - not the glass, the frame, but nothing was done to sort it during our stay.
Toilet - no toilet brush
Staff - the people in the dining area and bar weren't particularly friendly.
Doors - shut loudly (banging)

Absolutely not worth the money!

•No WiFi after advertising free WiFi. Complained to the staff on Sunday and the problem still wasn’t resolved by Tuesday when I left. Complete waste of time!

Staff very friendly and comfy room. Food also very good as ate their both nights of my stay.

Cons:

No wifi on 2nd floor which was an issue due to me wanting to work in the evenings. Staff offered staff wifi login however that also didn’t work.

Shower was very poor with no pressure and the knob to change from bath to shower kept dropping down so shower kept switching off.

overall we enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

The bar and waiting staff were excellent,chatty and very friendly,the menu was well varied and the meals we had were excellent,reasonably priced as well.

Cons:

The set up at breakfast leaves a bit to be lmproved on.Quite a small space which on both mornings we were there was very busy and with it being a waiter service for main c ourse then it was a longish wait to be served,no fault of waiting staff,maybe needed extra staff to cope.We are both 80 years old and were on the second floor,no lift, and no offer to help us up with our luggage.

Great stay let down by breakfast
Pros:

Handy for rail station and short walk to seafront.

Cons:

Hotel doesn’t look great from outside but room was excellent, spacious and comfortable.

This would have been a 10/10 review but breakfast let it down. I had perused the breakfast menu in the room the night before and decided I was going to have pancakes. Our server greeted us with a list of things that were not available which included pancakes, so that reduced the hot menu choices by about 30%. In addition there was no yoghurt and of the six pastry items listed only croissants were available. From listening to the server there had clearly been a problem the day before, but the delivery was due today. Clearly the server was embarrassed by a situation which was not her fault.

Either the person who does the ordering needs to get their act together or if the supplier is unreliable Greene King needs to find someone else.

A very disappointing end to an otherwise excellent stay.
