Great location, lovely clean rooms, comfortable bed & amazing shower
The only downside was that the rooftop pool was closed, but these things can’t be helped and the hotel offered complementary access to the spa which was lovely
It’s 5 mins away from the center
Loved it all
Great venue for party
Everything good
The main property itself was nice but the room itself (room 20), the bedroom was dark all day, poor natural light. Lack of plug sockets for drying hair etc, mirror facing the bed which was uncomfortable.
Was disappointed with the room based on photos on website etc.
In addition, pool unavailable (which we were made aware of) but also roof terrace on Thurs 28th meaning there was no where to sit and relax (room dark) which was quite frustrating.
In addition in talking to other guests understand they had received discounted room rate due to the issues where as I had booked earlier, was penalised as paid full rate.
Location wise the hotel is in a fab location
Staff were helpful and attentive
The room was very disappointing and unfortunately this did impact our stay
The bedroom as per above
Still charged full rate despite lack of amenities
Very clean everything met expectations and beyond
Parking was an issue / fan in room is needed because the windows don’t open.
Amazing experience at this beautiful hotel! The room was stunning and the facilities were great! The staff were super friendly and helpful! Tom looked after us, we had a lovely time. Thank you!
Really disappointed with our experience at King Street Townhouse. We booked this hotel despite a family member previously having a poor experience, as we wanted to give it a fair chance ourselves. Before booking, I emailed the manager directly but was referred to the central booking team instead. We were then offered a Snug Signature Room at what was described as a discounted rate, which included breakfast, a birthday sweet treat in the room, and welcome drinks on arrival.
Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations from the moment we arrived. There were no welcome drinks provided at all, despite this being promised as part of the booking. The room itself also did not feel luxurious. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, resulting in one of the worst nights’ sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel that markets itself as a luxury stay.
We also booked spa treatments, including deep tissue massages. My partner enjoyed his treatment, however my own experience was very disappointing. The therapist appeared unwell with a sniffly nose throughout the session, and during the massage I witnessed her wipe her nose on the back of her hand while continuing the treatment. Aside from this being unhygienic and highly unprofessional, I subsequently ended up with a cold afterwards. The massage itself also did not resemble a proper deep tissue massage as there was very little pressure applied throughout.
To make matters worse, I then experienced a reaction on my arms and legs to the products used during the treatment. When I contacted the spa about this with images of the reaction, rather than addressing the issue directly or offering any goodwill gesture or refund, I received what felt like a generic response asking me to complete a form for ESPA. This was frustrating, as I had not purchased any ESPA products myself, the products were used as part of a treatment provided by the hotel’s spa, so I expected the hotel to take some responsibility and deal with the complaint appropriately.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and spa experience, especially for a hotel that promotes itself as a luxury destination. Sadly, I would not return or recommend it based on our experience.
Really great service from all staff. Also I enjoyed the food I ordered through room service.
Not enough water in the room - one small bottle when it is over 30 degrees outside. Water should always be free. Also a very noisy mini bar that I could not turn off and it disrupted my sleep.
Comfortable bed
Quiet
Special thanks to Sumeya and Tom!
Daniel and I stayed at your hotel a little over 2 weeks ago. We had such a wonderful experience at the hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to Sumeya and Tom. They were both incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed throughout our stay. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that we felt comfortable at all times. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made a big difference to our experience. Thank you both for making our stay so special- you are a real credit to the hotel and it’s so lovely to see how you guys love your job. We really enjoyed the hotel and will be back!! We had a great time staying at the Luxury Junior Suites.
Matilda and Daniel from Norway!
Excellent room.
I had no issues with my stay.
Great location
They need to sort the TV out in the rooms, this is the third time I have stayed in a junior suite and not been able to get the TV to work properly
Room was lovely
Had very late notice that the pool was closed and so didn’t have time to look at other options as we were staying the night after our wedding. We received complimentary spa access but didn’t feel the stay was worth the price. On arrival we were told there should be a bottle of Prosecco waiting, there wasn’t. We told the staff and they told us it would be bought up. We didn’t receive the bottle of prosecco and so rang again (at this stage thinking maybe it was a complimentary bottle from the hotel for the pool / wedding), it was finally bought up and turned out to be a gift from friends. We were really disappointed, as if we hadn’t chased we would never have received this. Service doesn’t meet up to expectation.
