All very good, lovely staff, service, food and room excellent.
Nothing
Check in good check out good.
Most of the clientele were of a senior age. Position and parking were of good quality. Good view from our window.
The room was not suitable for our age group as there were steps up-to where the bed was positioned and also to the bathroom.
The lift to our floor was not good as we still had to use steps up and down to get to our room.
Having had a coach party in over the weekend on the Monday of the their departure when we went to the dining room for our breakfast tables had not been cleared and a definite shortage of food.
Rooms and food
Breakfast was superb. Lovely range of options. Veggie (nice ones) sausages available. The hotel was well decorated throughout. A pleasant atmosphere, elegant restaurant and cafe area, lovely spa, easy parking.
The one difficulty was the high temperature in the room. Emergency aircon units were installed as soon as requested, which made it more bearable. Since we were there due an exceptional heatwave, this wouldn't normally be a problem. A
Very close to the centre, parking facilities good.
Booked as wanted a spa weekend, spa facilities poor, swimming pool is very small, no jacuzzi, not allowed any drinks within the pool area - not even water, very little space to sit by the pool and no treatments available throughout our stay so very disappointed. Chose to eat at the hotel on arrival and our first evening. Sat in the lounge dining area. Service at both times was poor. Took us going out to reception on both occasions in order to get a menu and to be served. Reception staff were pleasant but when the waiter eventually came to take our order on both occasions he could not of been ruder.we waited over half hr each time to order our food followed by a further lengthy wait for the food to arrive. The sandwich was good, evening meal tasted pleasant enough but was barely enough to feed a child so needed a dessert to ensure we had eaten enough. Price was extortioate for amount of food received. Breakfast was not great. Great choice on the buffet but the cooked breakfast was not good. Over cooked eggs, undercooked (hard) potatoes..... half a mushroom which again was undercooked. When we requested bacon with the vegetarian breakfast on day one the waiter was great and understood we didnt like sausage and black pudding so ordering the vegetarian through choice opposed to diet meant less waste but the kitchen had other ideas. Breakfast arrived minus the bacon and when we mentioned it we got snapped at and told "well thats not vegetarian then is it"!
It appears the hotel are trying to create food thats a little above their ability in order to charge extortionate prices
Loved the light and airy feel , the public rooms were very attractive.
Lack of air-conditioning in bedrooms but do appreciated that the weather conditions the weekend were exceptional
Very clean, great breakfast.
The noise coming from the sea front during the early hours. Guess there isn't much you can do about that!
Lovely quality hotel. Staff extremely friendly. Modern feel to all areas. Room spacious with excellent facilities. Fresh milk every day!!! Food was superb. Excellent breakfast choices cooked fresh. Would recommend the 6 course evening meal quality exceeded our expectations with attention to detail.
One very small niggle was our room 126 was extremely warm. Do not know reason when except it was apparently above kitchen. Tower fan delivered immediately. This however did not spoil our stay or anymarkdown in scores
Hotel was excellent first class. It was brilliant.
Couldn't fault it.
Good breakfast lots of selection
Room was small & very hot. Went down to reception & they changed us immediately. Was a little annoyed having to do that at the beginning of our few days there. We found it a little expensive for a small room.
Location, good carpark. Nice clean seating area out side. Up to date decor. Friendly staff all very well dressed. Food was very nice. Large bedroom and very good sized bathroom.
No security.
Room safe not working
Good variety at breakfast although nuts would be good.
The window in the room was quite small and as it was humid difficult to get air circulating.
The extractor fan from the kitchen runs for 15 hours straight and can be heard in a lot of the rooms at the rear
