Town Lodge

Rooms are very small and the bathrooms are very small. The sheets weren't clean, the beds weren't very comfortable and the windows had to be open at all times due to the heat and no ac. The rooms and bathrooms were poorly designed. The room we stayed at was designed for 3 but we were 2 people and I don't think we could have stayed in that room as 3.

Room was a bit too small for a family of 3. Toilets and storage area could have been bigger

The room was tiny and when asked about cleaning the room, the reply was we only cleaned the room once in three days .The room was nowhere near a family room, one adult could hardly fit in the shower
The room was warm even though we had two fans .
When some of the food ran out at breakfast, for example, milk, yogurt, coffee and bread they will refill when we were full.

Staff v v rude , checking the room to give deposit back like a police raid . Very intimidating or like we steal something

I had booked for bed and breakfast for 2 nights.The staff is unfriendly. They don't do their job. They don't refill our room with sugar, coffee and tea, they do not take out dirty cups, neither clean the table or even make the beds. I made the beds that were down and when we came back it was still like that. The kids beds upstairs were not made. They only came to clean the wet floor on the tiny bathroom because when you shower water goes all over the floor. They also have old bath towels. There are no bath sheets at all. These have to go. They have been used many times. For these to days breakfast was horrible, the worst we have had. The flies were all over the fruits, cheese, cold meats and croissants making these unedible. The eggs were not freshly boiled looked like they were from the previous day.
Unfortunately I couldn't eat even one I had to throw it in the bin. There is no hot English breakfast. This is just a waste of money. Infact breakfast somewhere else is far better. I will never book this again. All in all a waste of over £400

⚠️ What we didn’t like
- Room size — the room was quite small, so it felt a bit tight for four people
- Reception interaction — the gentleman on reception sometimes came across a little distant, though he wasn’t unhelpful
- Phone support — the lady we spoke to on the phone was excellent, which balanced things out

I expected better breakfast with bigger choice. Not fan of cold breakfast.
No parking, very annoying when you have lots of bags to take and have to search for a space to park.

Their check in time of 4pm is outrageous, absolutely not nice because most people come in from different parts and their train/coach/flight usually arrives early like mine, I arrived Newquay at 10am ish. Although I sent a message days before coming to inform them I will be arriving in the morning and they made provision for my friends and I to have a room to change our clothes and head to the beach then at 4pm we came back to check in, it was nice they gave us a place to change but it would be nicer they include their check in time in their ads or make the time at least 2pm. Aside that every other thing was great

No staff on arrival, had to wait for someone to show up and check us in.
Faulty extractor fan causing a burning smell, couldn't switch the bathroom light on.
Blocked sink causing a smell of rotten eggs when running the tap.
No staff to report this to as no-one on site.
